But, just like with Coyle, Slater and Jones, he was a regular in a team that finished 7th and played some great football, so when we find ourselves in 22nd and barely scoring a goal it seems rich to write him off as not good enough for us.

He looked decent enough with better players around him. When he had the responsibility of being the main man he wasn't up to it

Positivity, controlled aggression, and passion are just 3 things we need Saturday, get at them, don't fanny about playing tippy tippy across the back 4 for 10 mins, get our midfield driving forward at every opportunity and give it a bloody good go. If we lose having a go, I won't be disappointed, but if we get beat without even a wimper like the Derby game I'll be asking for heads to roll.

I don’t think he could decide if he should stick or twist on Saturday and got caught out, the game was screaming out for Palmer and Pedro for me.

Think he was scared of making a change incase of a 3rd injury then as we were drawing decided to hold out for the draw and it back fired
I still believe that if Slater and Egan didn't get injured he'd have made a tactical change earlier

Also agree

Pandur
Coyle - Egan - Hughes - Macca/Drameh
Puerta - Crooks
Kamara - Gelhardt - Amrabat
Pedro

I've looked at the squads for all of our wins under Sellés and scored 2 for each start and 1 for each substitute appearance. Based on that system, our top players would be:

McLoughlin – 16
Alzate – 16
Kamara – 16
Coyle – 15
Jones – 15
Puerta – 15
Slater – 15
Pandur – 14
Gelhardt – 13
Hughes – 12
Pedro – 12
Joseph – 12
Burstow – 10
Crooks – 8
Drameh – 7
Burns – 5
Egan – 4
Jacob – 3
Lincoln – 3
Matazo – 3
Palmer – 3
Amrabat – 3
Longman – 3
Simons – 3
Barry – 2
Mehlem – 1

Starting XI I would go:

Pandur

Coyle Jones Hughes McLoughlin

Kamara Alzate Puerta/Slater Gelhardt

Pedro Burstow/Joseph

There is no Slater and I’d choose Joseph over Burstow. Suspect we will see that team. Maybe Crooks in for Kamara.

You're right. I forgot about Slater. I'd start Puerta and maybe bring Lincoln on later. I think Crooks has come nowhere near the version of him we saw at Sheffield United, so I wouldn't bother.

I don't see what Lincoln brings
He did one good delivery from free kick fir Hughes to score against Wednesday but what else

I really think the 2 wise heads of Amrabat and Pedro will work well together and need Gelhardt just behind Pedro or the other way round not wasted on the wing

26 different players, I told you he picks the team out of a hat and just like at school everyone has to get a go.
