Is he still in the antiques business? And whatever became of that other great forward we had, one Stewart Pearson?
Charles I was only a lad at the time LOL and my usual area as Bunkers/South Stand. For that game I was late getting there so that's why I was at the North End coming straight in off Boothferry Road. Mind you there were some wags at the North End I remember one City player having a torrid game, he was hopeless, can't remember the player.
And during a quite spell during the game, mainly midfield stuff, this said player fell over and someone from the stand shouted, which could be heard all over due to the quietness at the time:
"Come in number (whatever it was) your time is up" Even the players on the pitch were seen to smile, and of course we were all stood in those days, well most of us.
This picture was given to me by Jimmy Lodge (the real one) a small well built guy as I remember with black hair and moustache. I spent more time around Boothferry Park than I did at home, collection autographs after matches and programmes when I could. Roy Shiner is at the back just above Jackie Sewell, (and Brian Bulles) 2 old times past their sell by date that City signed in the early 60's.
And in the front, with the autographs, Paul Feasy (holding his shirt) and Charlie Crickmore who was sold to Norwich City, and when we went to Carrow Road to watch the Tigers Crickmore had a blinder and scored. He was a decent bloke too as he often gave me programmes. He lived down Havelock St I think it was and knew my family.

Can't remember where I got his picture from but I had a habit of getting things autographed. The team was, if my memory serves me right:
Davidson, Collinson, Fisher, Bulles, Garvey, Feasy
Clark, Price, Chilton, McMillan, Gubbins.

He is still in the antiques business and Stuart Pearson still works for Man United, doing corporate work and presenting on their in house MUTV channel.

Les Collinson, Dennis Butler, the goalie has me stumped at the moment, Eric McMillan, Paul Feasy
Dougie Clark, Billy Wilkinson, Jock Davidson, Chris Chilton, Ray Henderson, John McSeveney. ............. I will have to wrack my brains over the goalie.
Well done C'r. What caught my eye there is Ray Henderson. I'm sure he must be one of our own posters - 'Ray Henderson_retired'. If so come on Ray tell us who that goalie was, and more importantly please tell us your stories as a city player in the 60s.

Born in Wallsend, England, Henderson began his League career with Middlesbrough before moving to Hull City in 1961. It's a bit off thread and not to do with City, but I stumbled on this the other day:-
"Jeff Hall, the Birmingham and England defender, died of polio a fortnight after being taken ill in March 1958. The publicity surrounding the death of the 29-year-old left-back, who had never lost a game while playing for England, was instrumental in persuading the public to participate in a mass inoculation scheme to combat the disease."

Keepers I remember from around that time - Maurice Swan and Ian McKechnie but there was a second string keeper who I think this is.

Actually I think you could be right as the name does ring a bell, the other name I thought of was a goalie who went on to play for Derby under Brian Clough and that was Les Green. He was short for a goalie, about 5ft 8ins or something, but Mike Williams is the one.
The 65/66 team in a moment but as for the 50/51 photo I can only manage about 4. Middle row 3rd from the right Don Revie, front row knelt down second from the right Brian Bulles, 1st row sat down, but partly cut off and on the far left Jimmy Lodge, and in the middle of the same row in the lightest suit, Raich Carter.

The 2 Butler's were not related, we actually had an international in the line up in Welshman Alan Jarvis, winning 3 caps, although Chris Chilton did play for an England XI and I think Waggy was picked but never played. Wagstaff, Houghton and Butler were of course 3 of Cliff Britton's signings at £40,000 each, Wagstaff from Mansfield, Houghton and Butler from Rotherham.
