That’s because he’s had the goals coached out of him. Our main goal threat is Kamara and Gelhardt heading in crosses to the back post. Anything else is too risky and leaves potential for teams to counter us.
Marathon? It's an extraction shooter so it's different to what they've done. I played the pre release one, it was...ok. Reminded me a bit of Brink, which is about 3.6 roentgen in terms of excitement. It isn't designed to draw Destiny players away, more to attract extraction shooter fans to the company. Can't see it being a big hit though.
Syd will be along to tell us that we will get shut of a few players and everything will be hunky dory. Funnily enough if we go down owners have more freedom to put money in so we will see if Acun has the funds and the intent. TWT.
It is a bit concerning that we do get into long range shooting positions and we just opt to pass out wide. Can tell we aren't practising it in training because on the rare occasion a shot does come from outside the box, it flies over the bar. Hull City shots from Outside the Area: 208 Hull City goals from outside the area: 3 Hull City Big Chances Per Game: 1.7 Hull City Big Chances Missed Per Game: 1.3 Hull City Shots on Target per Game: 3.6 Absolutely ****ing UK Entry for Eurovision levels of appalling.
This isn’t just this season it’s been since McCann left and we are obsessed with passing the ball backwards.
On for you Twitters or X peeps. Or not. https://x.com/hcafcwill13/status/1917452889871601760?s=46. And Steve Amanwitharealltlongname is not buying us. https://x.com/bobbihuyton/status/1917547952286978529?s=46
Yeah it's been that way since Shota came in. We never did it under McCann, at least we tried to attack but couldn't because we were ****. This lot are miles better than the team that went down last time, but we seem to be absolutely about possession over scoring. That suggests either we are hiring managers that play this way because Acun wants to see it (which goes against what he said publicly about attacking football) or the manager doesn't think our players are capable of that, which if that's the case, is mental.
So, any manager would surely try to find a way... as most of the others who have been alongside all season have done.
We don’t have any manager, we have Ruben Selles, who like Walter before him has played the game at the highest level and knows what it takes to build a winning side.
The majority of them missed sitters were under Walter weren't they? Under Selles I'd say a bigger part of our midfield getting ****ter was more down to the loss of Matazo.
it would be interesting for proper analysis once the seasons done about have we been TOO cautious under selles? i can see why we have been, but getting relegated anyway its clearly not worked somethings not clicked
Hi everyone its my first post / comment on not606. I think if city go down on saturday, acuns position becomes untenable IMO. Ultimately, during his tenure the club HAS gone backwards. It's upsetting the club had so much headroom and potential when he took over and it has since been crushed by unforgivable mistakes, lack of "proper" decision making and naivety. One thing you CANNOT do is treat fans, players and this division with contempt, because you WILL get punished. We're currently watching this exact scenario unfold live. Hopefully the lads do the business on saturday and everyone can breathe a sigh of relief.
Selles' reign has been a mixed bag. Fantastic wins and utterly appalling losses. I'm not sure he has all of the players playing for him, certainly not since the international break. I'm also not convinced this is exactly the way Selles wants his teams to play, but out of necessity he has to with the lack of real quality throughout the squad. I'd love to see him and the recruitment team be given a proper chance this summer (preferably in the championship)
if we stay up, its a major success but if we go down, then its truly with a whimper and major question marks have to be asked about him how can a team like oxford get goals? theres no way their team is better than ours ability wise
Do people honestly believe they would just openly admit or discuss that kind of thing with randomers from the internet if they were involved or thinking about it etc
Oxford have some great players, i think a lot of it comes down to confidence. Our Squad are literally stuck in a trance of playing Far too many passes, taking far too many touches and this leads us to look static. When we're in possession theres such a lack of movement for either hughes, jones, egan, mcloughlin whoever is at the back and that hinders city massively. I've noticed when we're not in possession, again our movement is all over the shop. Bannan against city prime example, slater was nowhere near him all game. Thats just one example of us getting overran.
unfortunately for you i'm not mate haha. Just personal opinion on acuns reign.... i'd like to think we can get that parasite ehab far away from our club in the future.
It has been a mixed bag for sure. Please, not another one falling for the 'they're not playing for him' BS. I'm sure you are right though that what we are seeing is not the way Selles wants his teams to play, and out of necessity (at least as HE sees it) we've recently been playing as we've been playing. I'd repeat again what Tigerscave said earlier, as I think it's absolutely bang on in relation to post-international break performances .... "it's about finding a way, and he has lost his way" (or put another way, he's chosen the wrong way). I too would still like to see him & Dublin given a proper chance this summer to recruit and set us up for next season, irrespective of division.
