coventry have lost more games than preston this season

and preston are our biggest hope for survival

draws just dont ****ing cut it lads

Oh, you don’t? You think he’ll let Acun Medya go bust before us? He can’t write off the debt City owes him because he owes that money to someone else.

Do you know all this? It’s a reasonable assumption, but none of us have a ****ing clue who or where the money is coming from. We are definitely splurging more than Acun would reasonably be able to afford to spend, given what’s publicly available about his wealth. But we just don’t know do we.

nope

An increased focus on a 'don't lose' mentality, hope to sneak a goal, rather than go out to get the win. Simple as. He thought doing that would be enough to see us safe.
His mentality has now, finally changed (re. the interview aired on RH this morning). He now realises, hopefully not too late, that we must win.

Or just lack of quality in the final 3rd being compounded by the.few goal threats we've had looking no where near what they were before the break?

Were're still pushing to the same areas looking to play the same way, but where there was movement and a bit of guile in the forward line now there's none. And specific individuals have noticeably disappeared.

I'm similar, but nearer 90/10.
He will feel responsible, and, as a football fanatic, and someone who is used to success in his life, I'm sure he'll want to right the wrong.
My 10% is primarily about if there's a massive turning against him, then maybe he'll walk like he's said from the start he would if he is no longer wanted. I don't see that as any sort of vanity, just understandable common sense. If you are really not wanted, like err .. the Allams were not wanted by the vast majority, then why would he stay.

He's borrowing the money to fund us. The club is not credit worthy and there'll come a.point where commercial lenders won't lend any more.

We're already paying a higher amount of interest than would be deemed 'normal'. Something Kieran Maguire picked up on.

In league 1 we could well be in a situation where even the media company can't borrow the money to subsidise us any further.

You’ve just answered your own question. It’s common knowledge he used a loan to buy the club from the Allams (reported as £20 million for the club itself + £20 million to write down the outstanding debt to Allamhouse). Our accounts for 23/24 and 22/23 are public. We’re losing close to £500,000 per week. He doesn’t have enough money to fund the club out of his own pocket so he’s using loans from creditors to bankroll the day-to-day expenses and transfers.

Good point but it doesn’t appear to be the club’s credit being used for the loans directly but Acun Medya’s. That loan is then loaned to City with 5% interest owed to Acun Medya.

It stands to reason there's something gone on because the form we were in before the break and the way we've come back is starkly obvious, with no great change in approach from the manager.
Actually I think it has changed slightly. Some of our ‘good’ games before had Joseph on left wing with Pedro up top. Don’t think we’ve done that since the Pedro sending off.

We are undoubtedly in a lot of **** unless someone with a lot of money has an appetite for making up for this relegation and making an instant return to the championship.

We will find out in due course won’t we. I’m probably 70/30 hopeful that the ownership will sort us out and build a competitive side next season capable of challenging the top of the table.
In League One?

There was a discussion on twitter between folk connected with a commercial ratings agency going to either the summer or jan window. Think it got deleted pretty quickly but the club does not appear to be credit worthy as a standalone entity to any significant degree even in the championship.

And why would Acun need to load the liability onto the media company if the club could wash it's own face?

The only possible reason is becasue he's been told he has no new contract

Thats the only reason
Right?

It ties in with a few going off.the boil. And if its coming from Howden and toast and going around the hospitality areas of the west stand also then it's deffo worth taking note of.

Of course the manager could have just have randomly decided to change his approach from one that's working and telling them to stand still and not look for space in the attacking 3rd but I know what I think is more likely to have happened with this ownership.

We've put one decent half of football in since they returned from the break. That is out of character for this side under Selles. Very rarely stank it out 2 games running.

Baz hit the nail on the head in his post derby live stream. You've had the coaching and local staff recruiting to one template and then at the same time the owner doing his own thing.

Hence recruitment ultimately being expensive, disjointed and unsuccessful.

I find this interesting that Baz has turned on Acun given historically he’s been a mouth piece for him

But then Jones was our worst player when he came on as a sub against Derby. Gave away a silly foul for the goal, lost his man for the goal, blazed over ridiculously.

Strange he's been bombed out too.

Considering he was one of our most consistent performers and a saleable asset.
