We are undoubtedly in a lot of **** unless someone with a lot of money has an appetite for making up for this relegation and making an instant return to the championship.

We will find out in due course won’t we. I’m probably 70/30 hopeful that the ownership will sort us out and build a competitive side next season capable of challenging the top of the table.

No manager is infallible, even Cloughy though he'd never admit it.

Our form under Selles over the whole of the season comfortably keeps us up.

We just delayed the inevitable with Walter too long.

Yes we've been poor since the break, but you don't have to look far for the reason beyond Selles control why that might be the case.

I think that’s called, using your contacts. Some of those are players we wouldn’t have had a hope in signing without us having our owner.

Omur went to **** under Walter but he was a hell of a coup for us when we got him and had an excellent half season under Rosenior. The only real waste there on that list is Sinik and still nobody has a clue about the truth whats gone on there.

That may be true but I also think he’s done a poor job and a decent manager would have had us comfortably survived by now. We are one of the biggest spenders in the division this season and we have some very good players here that imo have suffered due to bad management under 2 managers this season.

    1 assist from right midfield?

Same end-product in half a season as Lokilo.

    I'm similar, but nearer 90/10.
He will feel responsible, and, as a football fanatic, and someone who is used to success in his life, I'm sure he'll want to right the wrong.
My 10% is primarily about if there's a massive turning against him, then maybe he'll walk like he's said from the start he would if he is no longer wanted. I don't see that as any sort of vanity, just understandable common sense. If you are really not wanted, like err .. the Allams were not wanted by the vast majority, then why would he stay.

I agree, you don't have to look far. Selles's game plan & selections.
Enough have said it's been nothing to do with lack of effort.

We've had no real quality in the final 3rd all season. He's got us functioning as a team, but he hasn't had the tools in key areas of the pitch.

He's unlikely to get his money back - that's why I think he might have to stay.

Or key players being told they have no future here with 7 games to go?

Coincidence for the drop off in form?

I think you're desperate to find a scapegoat.

I honestly don't think that will be a big consideration.
He said from the very beginning that it's not about the money (either way). I believe him. That was never his main motivation and I doubt it would stop him walking away either. I'm not saying he'd give the club away debt free for a pound or whatever, but I also don't think he'd be anything like the Allams hanging on to get every penny (and more) back. Hopefully we don't have to find out.

Not at all. I'm just looking at reality, not looking for something that isn't there. If you were right, then there'd surely be a distinct lack of effort across half the squad. There hasn't been, in fact, far from it. There's no demonstrable logic to your view (imo).

He can't just walk away from it, it's not his money and repaying the debt is more than he can afford to lose.

One thing that comforts me a little bit if Acun was to leave, he's much, much more well connected in the world than Allam's ever were. I think if/when he wants to get rid (personally think this is very soon), he will find it much easier to line up a buyer for us.

Bit hard when you're not getting a start or are suspended.
No lack of effort when they've been called upon.
I thought the clear concensus was that Joseph was preferred because he presses hard and runs a lot? So does Forest Gump. Wrong choice imo.
That's 2. There's allegedly "half the squad" that's been told and downed tools. Who else?

It stands to reason there's something gone on because the form we were in before the break and the way we've come back is starkly obvious, with no great change in approach from the manager.

Or Jones, who started nearly every game until after the international break? Or Alzate, who has been in and out of the team since the international break?

An increased focus on a 'don't lose' mentality, hope to sneak a goal, rather than go out to get the win. Simple as. He thought doing that would be enough to see us safe.
His mentality has now, finally changed (re. the interview aired on RH this morning). He now realises, hopefully not too late, that we must win.

Oh, you don’t? You think he’ll let Acun Medya go bust before us? He can’t write off the debt City owes him because he owes that money to someone else.
