I definitely wasn't thereThis is one of those occasions when a million people will claim they were there ...
... like the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club or Mags at the Gillingham game
But I really was on the 'grassy knoll' with Pete Crosby and Steve Nattrass.
Steve had roped in a soft lad from work who didn't like football but drove so we could get drunk.
He had a brand new Rover, his pride and joy, and sat outside listening to the radio and waiting ...
... when we trudged into view, with mud all over us, his little face was a picture![]()

I definitely wasn't there
- but I am going to the 100 club next Tuesday
Just found the full 90 on youtube

Think it was mentioned on another threat how empty the Etihad was the other night. Just seen this, what a disgrace. Sadly the way the modern game is moving.

And you can watch, at home, with a hookey stream, cheap lager and waitress service ...
... no wonder people are losing interest.
Aye, we’re quite lucky our prices aren’t too bad still but they’re steadily increasing. Even the price of a pint in Sunderland now is £5-6 most places so the day out is becoming more and more expensive every season. For me it’s about that Saturday out having a few beers, getting a few bets and sampling the atmosphere before the match in the pub etc but last few seasons with us on Sky so much midweek I must admit I’ve missed a few matches I could’ve easily made because it was easier to just watch in the house rather than drive straight there for kick off and back once it’s finished. Real tough spot they’re in because casuals want as much football on TV as possible but as a season card holder I want as many Saturday 3pm kick offs as possible.
Now that I can watch all of our games, wherever I am, it's really tempting not to go.
I had a ticket, for yesterday, but just couldn't be bothered tbh. The boss was arriving to an empty house, from Abu Dhabi, and I chose to be here last night just to open the doors, light the property and say hello/goodnight ...
... I'd looked at trains/planes/hotels and just thought I'd save my money for Wembley.
I'm even torn between getting up at 6.30 for the trains to the QPR and watching all the other playoff teams scrambling for a place.
I'm only really going to show my support, and the lap of honour ... if we lose dismally it'll feel like a total waste of time.
Liverpool's second Premier league title has now created a Fibonacci sequence of winners.
