Phenomenal footballer! Was actually arguing with the ref on the run up to the volley

Some massive games this weekend in promotion/relegation scraps. Wrexham V Charlton will be a cracker, fancy Charlton to beat them and take it to the last day. Flying at the minute, form is even better than when they beat us in the PO final. Won 15 of last 20, only lost twice and one of those was 1-0 away at Birmingham. Think they’re a real shout for play offs if they don’t manage to nick automatics.

This is one of those occasions when a million people will claim they were there ...

... like the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club or Mags at the Gillingham game <laugh>

But I really was on the 'grassy knoll' with Pete Crosby and Steve Nattrass.

Steve had roped in a soft lad from work who didn't like football but drove so we could get drunk.

He had a brand new Rover, his pride and joy, and sat outside listening to the radio and waiting ...

... when we trudged into view, with mud all over us, his little face was a picture <yikes>

Brilliant on the 100 Club and great you've found the Wigan match.

I'll be able to pick us out on that <laugh>

Think it was mentioned on another threat how empty the Etihad was the other night. Just seen this, what a disgrace. Sadly the way the modern game is moving.

And you can watch, at home, with a hookey stream, cheap lager and waitress service ...

... no wonder people are losing interest.

Aye, we’re quite lucky our prices aren’t too bad still but they’re steadily increasing. Even the price of a pint in Sunderland now is £5-6 most places so the day out is becoming more and more expensive every season. For me it’s about that Saturday out having a few beers, getting a few bets and sampling the atmosphere before the match in the pub etc but last few seasons with us on Sky so much midweek I must admit I’ve missed a few matches I could’ve easily made because it was easier to just watch in the house rather than drive straight there for kick off and back once it’s finished. Real tough spot they’re in because casuals want as much football on TV as possible but as a season card holder I want as many Saturday 3pm kick offs as possible.

Is anyone keeping up with the drama in Madrid over the choice of Referee for the final against Barca. Incredible stuff. Called out a referee on the clubs official TV channel.. said referee has been getting death threats, kid getting bullied at school etc by the strangest fanbase on the planet (only just pipped the mags to that title).

Referees association came out and rightly condemned them for Madrid to put out a club statement calling THE REFEREES unacceptable :emoticon-0102-bigsm Enitled ****ing babies threatening not to play now. Hope Barca wallop them, again.

Now that I can watch all of our games, wherever I am, it's really tempting not to go.

I had a ticket, for yesterday, but just couldn't be bothered tbh. The boss was arriving to an empty house, from Abu Dhabi, and I chose to be here last night just to open the doors, light the property and say hello/goodnight ...

... I'd looked at trains/planes/hotels and just thought I'd save my money for Wembley.

I'm even torn between getting up at 6.30 for the trains to the QPR and watching all the other playoff teams scrambling for a place.

I'm only really going to show my support, and the lap of honour ... if we lose dismally it'll feel like a total waste of time.

Don’t blame you mate, you’ve a hell of a journey just for home games. Sometimes I can’t be arsed and I only live a few miles away! The beer normally helps :emoticon-0102-bigsm Away days are getting more and more expensive I’d be frustrated if I went to watch that yesterday and I’ve been to watch some us play some ****e in League One. It’s not like this team at all one thing we’d all agree is that if we dropped points earlier in the season it was never for lack of trying but at the minute it does seem like we’ve taken our foot off the gas whether that’s intentional or not as a fan you still want to see your team trying to win every match. Hopefully it’s all a bluff and we come out flying in the play offs because we’ve got more than enough to beat any of the teams who’ll be up against.

Take my hat off to those who follow us all over the country, going to home games for the majority of us is easy but the away days as mentioned are becoming more and more expensive plus you’re giving up every Saturday rather than just every other so if you’ve young kids etc that are at school all week whilst youre grafting you’re sacrificing that weekend time with them too.

Liverpool's second Premier league title has now created a Fibonacci sequence of winners.

That's remarkable but who the f*ck has the time, or desire, to have worked that out?

Didn't this start with someone breeding rabbits or is it another fake investment pyramid scam <whistle>
