This Rosie thing is boring, some think sacking him was wrong and others agreed with it.
There’s no way of knowing how Rosie would have done with us just because he’s doing well in France.
He wouldn’t have had the same team as last season, equally Tim might have done better with last seasons team. It’s all ifs buts and maybes but it’s gone

It’s more making the point that it was clearly the wrong decision by Acun.

I mean yes Rosenior might not have been successful this year for us but it couldn’t have gone much worse could it?

Louie Barry ain’t coming to save us.

Injury setback.

Slater’s in a boot.

Egan’s back’s gone.

Not good on the injury front.

Win next week though and we stay up regardless. We’re only relying on the kindness of others if we draw.

If we lose we’re ****ed, obviously.

I’ll say it for the millionth time though - how does this team score?

Take out the penalties, own goals and occasional stunning but unlikely to be repeated wundergoal and we don’t score.

Where is that goal (and I shudder to think that we may need more than one) going to come from?

yep

i can see portmouth scoring 3 or 4 after a close tight first 40 minutes
and we crumble

Let’s not forget some of Rosie’s games were the most boring games ever, he even played games we needed to win with no striker. Let’s not pretend he was the second coming

But he would have been better than this season has been.

It’s not even about Rosenior really - it’s about Acun making a naive decision that’s cost us badly this year

Last game of last season we headed to the south coast knowing a win could get us a playoff place. This season we head to the south coast for the last game of the season knowing a win will keep us in the Championship.

Rosenier or Walter/Selles?

Question answers itself for me.

Was the architect of this mess, Mr. Acun, at the game, or did he opt for the Fenerbahçe game again?

On the flip side if we win then we're guaranteed to stay up regardless of other results. Got to cling onto that now...

The obvious problem with that however is that we've been entirely unable to score goals for a long time now. We still play like a bunch of strangers and there's no desire to 'go for it'. It's always safety first and by the time we're 'ready' to progress the ball, the chance to break through has gone. It was the same today and has been for months and months.
It showed signs of improving initially but has gone backwards for weeks now. Selles hasn't done a half decent job, he's managed to take what we have got backwards rather than improving. We're lacking quality but it's more about his tactics, his coaching, his use of subs, etc. It's utterly baffling to me.

I've said the following since this season started and stand by it...

The biggest issue out of a long list of problems we've had this season was how we handled our summer activity. We gutted the squad and brought in largely just youth and potential and far too late too. ANYONE would have struggled to manage this team. There's some quality in there but they play like strangers.

I don’t fully disagree but I don’t think that transfer windows happens if we had kept the same manager (regardless of whether it was Rosenior or not)

Sacking a known coach for an unknown one in this country means you go down the list for Premier League loans slightly - existing players are more likely to leave and players interested in signing for you are more cautious as you are more of an unknown quantity.

Im not claiming Rosenior had this magical pull but I am saying that clubs with continuity stand a better chance of building a decent squad. We gambled and lost.
