The young man is back, how much he’ll play god only knows but good to have to back young man..Barry is back !!!!

Did he do anything of note before his injury. I don't recall. 4 games, no assists, no goals.
Presumably won't be fully match fit this time either.
Not saying he isn't going to be a decent player, but ...

He was just starting to look like the player we were told we had got when he got injured.
Even if he's come back full fit i believe it's just too late to make a difference

Was it his first start when he got injured at Sunderland? Either way, he didn't have long to prove himself.

But I agree that it's unlikely he's going to make a huge difference in the time remaining.

You have to assume he's come back fit enough to play otherwise what's the point.
Surely Villa would just have given him longer to recover and come back for preseason

Assuming he is fit

Hes the only player we have who can really stretch a team
I think he was a big reason why we looked so good in the first half v sunderland

Direct pace is never fun to deal with as a defender

Whether he is 100% fit or not, or actually capable of changing a game, is a bit irrelevant. If he gives the fans and the squad a lift on Saturday, and he gives Derby something else to worry about in the last 20 minutes, he may well make a decent contribution.

Last I heard we were hoping he'd be available for Portsmouth, with Derby seen as unrealistic. Point stands though.

By coming back I’d hope provided we stay in this league he’d be with us next season… if he plays any game time these next two it’s just a brucie bonus in my eyes but that is a good point, will give derby something else to think about….

I mean he won’t get any game time unless we are chasing it in the last 10 mins I wouldn’t have thought.
