Haway lads. We arent even at game day and it is oneupmanship argument stuff already. It isnt a great read.

I cant wait to get on the train in the morning. Usually football days are dry days for me as I drive. Not tomorrow though <cheers><cheers>

I am going to sing my heart out and show these lads what they mean to me. Every last one of them. What a bunch we have and they never give up. I love them all.

After tomorrow I have a cracking long weekend lined up. Saturday a mix of allotment and date night. Golf Sunday afternoon and out for a meal afterwards with my youngest. Monday golf at an away course with my pal involved with footy and he has me a gift apparently. Then I will be in bed by 8, knackered, and up at 6 for work Tuesday. I am a lucky old bugger, not least to support these brilliant kids.

Enjoy all, whatever you are doing.

Every match thread is the same with people bringing on spurious arguments and derailing the thread.

If I was RTB I'd not even bother, he keeps asking people to keep to the point on here, the match!

All we're getting, on thread after thread, is the same batch of 'cut & paste' moans.

It's always the same and always negative chipping away at the club.

I've suggested people, who want to post this stuff, start a thread of their own but they don't.

Fair enough, as always we won't ever agree.

Probably best you pop me back on ignore as there's 2 games this weekend we may not win and God forbid I will bite at your posts.

I'm trying to be not so stressed over social media

Hope that works out for you. If you're getting stressed, best to remove the stressor from the situation.

No, your style is to quote people who don't exist and post things no one said.

That's gives you a basis for a pretty weak argument.

If you disagree with something someone's posted there's no harm in quoting them, people can handle it ...

... it's not 'calling someone out', it's just a discussion forum where people can disagree without falling out.

What you're doing is arguing with yourself because no one said what you're claiming ... yet again.

You could've quite easily posted your opinion without attacking other people's ...

... absolutely no need for that comment, that's the kind of thing that puts people off posting.

Well, the fact you’re denying knowledge of something in a thread you were actively posting at the very time just makes you look like A) an absolute liar or B) an absolute tit. Or you could just conveniently selectively skip comments. You’re a big boy, you know how to use the search tool so get yourself away and toddle off with your tail between your legs :emoticon-0148-yes:

Me dad is wearing his OG shirt from the 80s.

Misplaced my kazoo :( :,)

We went to Norwich in the 80's in the minibus of Dave Fairs, a massive lad and a massive Sunderland fan ...

... plenty on here will know him.

Me Mam ran a Jazz Band, in Mansfield, so had loads of kazoos and I took a couple of dozen.

We played them all the way there and all the way back ...

... it was absolutely insane especially as we were all drunk, including Dave <cheers>

Apologies, especially to @RTB for derailing the thread, but it's difficult to ignore.

Back to lurking and awful predictions league posts

If you're claiming people have said something it's up to you to post it or quote it.

You could've made exactly the same point without attacking people ...

... but that's what you do time after time and that's what you enjoy.

Whilst it's fine for your to post your opinion on momentum, form etc what happens if we go full strength and get a red card in the next 4 games? Or an injury that rules out a key player?

Is that then the clubs fault? It's a no win situation for the coaching and support staff.

It all boils down to trust and some of us are happy to trust the professionals that they know what they are doing, where as others don't and believe they know better.

Total valid point mate, I know there’s a fair few fans on here wanting to rest players too. I think resting them if we play twice in 3 days is fine, or giving them 60 minutes then hooking them again is fine. Just my own opinion that we could also be resting them too much and potentially leaving them open to going out there and pulling something straight away because they’ve barely kicked a ball for weeks. Le Fee has played 700 minutes of football in nearly 3 months here, he really needs some minutes on the park to get some match fitness before the big games for me.

Quote me where I’ve attacked someone.

Every match thread is the same mate, people come on specifically to argue and take the fun out of the thread.
As I say mate, better for me to just read.

I'm buzzing for the end of the season, can't wait for Mondays game let alone tomorrow's and probably clouds my judgement as I am a happy clapper.

Really prefer home games as I don't check the match thread for at least a couple of hours pre and post game

I’ve got so many people on ignore that I’ve got no idea what you lot are talking about :D

If you can see this ...

... I keep asking why people who want to moan, be negative and pull the club down can't start their own thread.

They don't, they just cuckoo themselves onto other people's and kick the other chicks out one by one.

"I’ve seen a few comments about momentum apparently being a load of ****e"

Absolutely no need to even say that, you could've just given your opinion without denigrating other people's.

But that’s genuinely just whats been said? People are saying it’s overrated, load of ****e etc and that’s their opinion which is totally fine? And my opinion is that it’s important than others make out. That doesn’t mean I’ve derailed the thread or took the fun out of it because I’ve replied to an active topic of conversation ****ing hell. I’m not having a go at anyone whatsoever so apologies if that’s how it’s came across but it’s not meant like that at all. Anyway I’m off to watch the football and have a beer have a good night <cheers>

The trouble is that you, and lots of other people, have said the same and, in particular, don't come on after games because of the endless negativity.

Even RTB has had to ask people not to keep pulling things down but they just ignore him.

No one said it was a load of shyte, people aren't an intellectually inferior to you as you'd like to think.

Perhaps you should consider giving your opinion occasionally without having a go at other people's every time.

This was the Leeds team that played Southampton a week before the Cup Final ...

This was the team against Sunderland ...

... almost all internationals, top players and nothing to do with switching on or off.

Nice story though.

Madeley
Hunter
Lorimer
Clarke
Jones
Giles

Sorry if you say there were only a few changes, perhaps Dad referred to games before the Saints game.
Would ask him but no direct line to 'upstairs'.
My memory from the final were the amazing double saves of Jim Montgomery.
