as a rule no
but just lately , because while overreaction works both ways, i find the over reaction to our wins the more over the top , how good our players become all of a sudden, etc.
Tbf I think the overwhelming reaction on Saturday was one of relief that we'd won despite a **** performance and overall game.

Understandable concerns after last night’s performance but it’s all still in our own hands in some respect. Don’t like the idea of having to go to Portsmouth needing points to survive so City will need to make sure that scenario doesn’t come about if at all possible . As for last night, not sure why we looked so inept especially in the final third trying to open them up but once they scored the reality of the situation suddenly looked beyond us collectively and that for me was the biggest disappointment. Sellas and his crew now have remind the players what’s at stake for the remaining fixtures and not only show the supporters he can keep the club safe, but given the history convince The Big Turk another managerial decision won’t be necessary in the summer.

UTT.

Yes, noticed that with Coyle. And he isn’t the only one guilty of that. A lack of vision amongst too many of our players.
was one near the end where Palmer played the ball out of play on the right as Coyle hadnt moved forwards, made Palmer look **** but Coyle should have made the run, and if he had would have had a good crossing position under little pressure

There's a reason why we are where we are. It's not rocket science.
41 played.
GONE BEHIND AND LOST = 17.. 41.46%
GONE AHEAD AND DREW = 6 .... 14.63%
GONE AHEAD BUT LOST = 2.... 4.88%
GONE BEHIND AND DREW = 4... 9.76%
GONE BEHIND AND WON = 3.... 7.32%
GONE AHEAD AND WON = 8.... 19.51%
DRAW 0-0 = 1 ...2.44%

Just think if we'd have held on for win when winning but drew we'd have another 12 points
Our recruitment has been terrible 2-3 million on full backs that will probs never play for us again.
Never should have got rid of Calum Elder. Said it at the time, got shot down....I bet you lot ain't so cocky now.

Hahahaha.....You should know mate.....You've got the crown on your head.
I bet you predicted a thumping 4-0 win last night...Wrong again...arsehole.

Actually on reflection that's unkind to arseholes.

1. The real reason is that we're really not very good.
2. Pointless remark. Elder could have stayed and had a crap season, or he might have done an ACL first game, or whatever.

Not just that
Elder left 2 seasons ago ffs <laugh>

1. No doubt about it...I've been saying it since August.
2. Better than anything we have in those positions, now.

Elder should have gone, but we should have replaced him with someone better. However, as it stands, Elder would be the best LB in our squad.

No we can't. Stoke and Cardiff play, which means one will stay below us.
Again not looking for an argument, but just to point out that you are wrong. If Cardiff win say by 1 and we lose by 4 then both Cardiff and Stoke could go above us. If Derby also win then we end up back in the bottom 3.
Quite conceivable that Cardiff beat Stoke, Derby beat Portsmouth and we lose (at home!) to Coventry who need the win for top 6. Maybe unlikely that we lose by 4, but far from inconceivable. Quite possible that we end up out of the bottom 3 only by goal difference.
All that said, hopefully none of those results happen and we pull another rabbit out of the hat and beat Coventry.

Elder's an average performer at this level – does a reasonable job. The real issue is that the players brought in to replace him haven't been up to scratch, despite significant investment.

That said, people need to understand that, for various reasons, we simply can't hold on to every player and run a squad of 60. Transfers are always a bit of a gamble - some work out, some don’t.

And while this regime has its faults when it comes to player recruitment, there aren’t many former players who’ve left and gone on to do so well that we’re left regretting letting them go - very much including Elder.

They can’t be doing it consistently enough because we’re still the ones that sit outside of the bottom three. Two games ago it was by only 1 point, now it’s 2. Yes, it’s a shame we didn’t get a result tonight, but the amount of games left keeps shrinking and we’re still managing to stay ahead.

It was hardly scientific analysis I offered, but let's all hope your final sentence lasts the distance.

But if you go back to the transfer threads we bought some great players. A mix of experienced and the future stars, some who had been good in other teams so why don't they perform for us? Plenty of other clubs cobble together a team without a multi million proven goal scorer, famous names or spending millions.

At the end of last night's game why were all our forwards and attacking midfielders giving the opportunity to score to Macca? he's a center back playing left back why was he in the best position to score, if he was.

Checked his number of appearances for DCFC....28 this season + 1 FAC. Must be doing something right.

They're a **** team who are right in the mix of getting relegated - they'll replace him when they can (if they can).

Not like he's ripping it up at Burnley or Sheff U
