Top of the morning to you. It is indeed a beautiful day. Thank God we’re born in England, and are alive to see it.

 

Just catching up on news about this awful earthquake.

Apparently the Myanmarese 'government' has been prioritising bombing rebel outposts over rescuing people trapped under collapsed buildings.

Such lovely people.

 

Yeah I watched some youtube videos on the collapses and panic around it. Saw a couple buildings just collapse like a pack of cards, but they seemed to be on stilts, places like where you can either park or walk underneath. So once the pillars go, the whole lot above just follows. I know nowt about contruction btw, but I'd certainly give those buildings a wide berth, also would put me off being on high floor in some of them tower blocks, scary ****.

 

I'm glad you agree that bombing people in the ruins of their homes is reprehensible behaviour

This isn't what the junta are doing in Myanmar though. They're ignoring the people buried under rubble and focusing on rebels elsewhere in the country.

Ah, those two old girls, I remember them - the first ones I remember being released.

The reason I remembered them was because they fascinated my curiosity - it was like watching two polar opposites.

Not sure what I make of them.

I'd like to see a video of the other lady talking or a psychological analysis of them.

 

Always makes me laugh, people think Neturei Karta are pro-Palestinian.

Far from it. They are just anti political Zionism, which they see as a contravention of a statement in the Talmud that God will only give the land back to the Jews when the time is right, and that it is forbidden to rush or force this issue.

I.e. they believe with absolute certainty that the land - all of it by the way not up to the 1967 borders, all of it as per the Bible - rightfully belongs to the Jews as they were promised by God, and they pray for that promise to be fulfilled soon but believe that it isn't yet the right time.

 

These guys dress like they’re in Russia in the 1800s in the Middle East in Spring. They must be incredibly dehydrated.
