Understand what you’re saying but I think we’d be desperate for new recruits at full back (you mentioned Cirkin and Hume). The gulf is massive mate, I’d want us to stay up and if that means a load of new players, so be it.

One thing has always been apparent to me and that is great volume of valuable commodities we have in this squad and beyond.

We have players who see their value surge within just a few games. Watson has doubled the bids for him in the space of 6 months with only a few games under his belt. I get the feeling Jobe's value has doubled if not trebled this season. We are playing the modern transfer game pretty well.

I'm still wary of selling too many at once, to me it makes very little sense losing our three main midfielders in the same window, which is very likely if we dont go up. I'd hang onto Rigg as I see him the most likely to stay this summer.

    Anyone heard from @Scout73 recently?

It’s been a while since there was a post. He’s a miss certainly

a bidding war on our players is a good thing, when was the last time that happened?

for players leaving, it depends on their mindset and their agents,

take Clarke for example, hasnt exactly set the PL on fire...

I can see possible Rigg, Watson and Patto leaving in the window,

Spurs are sniffing around as are Liverpool,

He's doing fine mate, just taking a wee break from here. I'll be seeing him tomorrow, so i'll pass this on to him.

I'd be amazed if a PL club take a gamble on Patto. Distribution not up to PL standard and has shown he has a mistake in him a few times this season. Great shot stopper, but is that enough in the top league? If we went up I'd be looking to bring in a better keeper. In fact I'd be looking to bring in better this summer regardless.

I'm currently of the opinion that he isn't good enough for top end Championship.
Looks overweight, performances have dipped, no progression, evidence of regression and too many mistakes.
Rumours about his lifestyle off the pitch (drink).
Wouldn't shock me if RLB wants something different in the summer

As long as we get a decent fee then it’s happy days

I think our next number 1 GK will be signed from abroad.

What about the kid we have had out on loan this season? name escapes me but heard very, very good things about him. What I like about the club at present is that while we are giving loads of time for the youth coming through - theres still quite a few names pushing to get into the squad.

Aye. I heard a rumour Liverpool wanted him last season for that very reason. Apparently Patto was open to the idea - huge wage for being a training goalkeeper.

Yeah Matty Young has been rated for a while in the England youth ranks, in the u20s for this break but in my opinion looks the strongest keeper in the whole youth setup.

I'd be sceptical about the step up from being a keeper rotated in and out of a League 2 side to the Championship if it was anyone else but Matty.

Matty Young. Not quite ready for championship imo but he’s got a massive future ahead of him

If Patto goes could Moore step up and have Young as backup until he is ready - not really seen much of Moore tbh

Think the club see Young as a future no1 so I think we will hold on to him for at least a couple of more years
