He's been ok when called upon sure, 3 clean sheets against 3 of the least dangerous sides in the league. I think he's great to have around the squad and as a backup... But it seems as if people here have only watched his games for us, he's a below average keeper at this level and 35. I want to reiterate, I like Moore, but if he's your first choice goalkeeper you're not in a great spot.
I didn't think it was controversial to say that but some people clearly more fond of Moore than I expected, better the devil you know eh
100% won’t be dull atleast, rarely is with us, huge chance to kick on massively if we have some proper coin to spend if we’re still at this level
Have you got the stats for Patto against the worst 3 teams in the division, I can’t imagine they are anywhere near as good.
if we don’t go up Bellingham is gone and Neil is as he won’t sign that’s 2 regulars gone be surprised if Hume and Cirkin weren’t of interest Then you’ve obviously got rigg For what it’s worth it’s scary and exciting in equal measure
I mean sure, but hes also played more games for us against them. Like i say just because you may not think patto is the answer, doesnt mean the solution is Moore. Against those 3 teams Moore kept 3 clean sheets against patto has only played against 1 of them this season and conceded 1 which wasn't his fault, its not really easy to compare them in that respect. I just don't think the goalkeeper that coventry dropped to third choice is what we need when trying to push for playoffs, its not too hard to just sign a goalkeeper if patto leaves.
I'm excited for the summer window. We are either a PL club operating in a whole new market or we are a Championship club who could very easily have £50m+ to rebuild the squad. It's a very good position to be in, just need to get the outgoing fees and recruitment right, do that and we'll be a serious top 2 contender.
Just got to hope we will actually spend the money. I wonder what is the max we are willing to pay on a fee while in the championship. I’m aware smart recruitment isn’t about the fee but I think we will need genuine ready to go replacements for the likes of Neil, Jobe, Rigg if they leave etc
I can't remember exactly what the Isidor fee was but I think it was around £4m so if we can bump that up to the £5m-£10m price range we'll be absolutely fine
despite both hits and misses in recruitment there’s an very obvious upward curve in quality and expenditure there’s nothing to suggest this won’t continue at an arguable exponential rate if finances allow it id expect to see a continuation with untested youth, in addition to chasing seriously talented teenagers who are of a serious calibre, in addition to 20-24 year olds with high impact and potential
