I know Mark posted elsewhere. .... but sad news about Dennis Bond... He was a very good player and a star for me in those days
I don't think the cause has been confirmed yet.He was my hero during his first spell with us. Does anyone know the cause of death? 77 seems young these days.
Greetings, Hartle not a bad player either if my memorys not gone
I may be wrong, but I think he may have been the first to follow that well-worn path from Watford to Sheffield United.Super player. Sold of course.
Although a winger for us, I'm pretty sure he twice played left back against us for Stockport - when they did the double over us in our 1968/69 promotion season.I may be wrong, but I think he may have been the first to follow that well-worn path from Watford to Sheffield United.
They were very reclusive....yes very sadVery sad.

Basically died without knowing his wife was dead too .
Presumably there was no close family or friends near by ?

Exactly .My username comes from the fact I used to comment a lot on the old F1 forum on the original 606 as well as the Watford one (and cycling now and then). Growing up in the 90s I was a big fan of the Jordan team as the underdogs who actually could do it, and EJ himself was always a fun character. His recent podcasts with David Coulthard were great, revisiting some of the stories from his past in the sport. Although I still watch it, it does feel like F1 is a more stale place without characters like him and true privateer teams.
