I understand it is more loan players with injury record. I just feel with a smaller squad we do need some depth and hopefully this doesn't effect us at the business end and come May we have a hell of a party

I just feel the level of 'oven ready players' we could attract wouldn't boost the quality much ...

... and we couldn't afford to buy the likes of Jobe, Mayenda, Mundle, etc as the players they've become.

I agree there'll be some who just don't work out but the quality level seems to gradually increasing ...

... not that you'd have believed it yesterday <laugh>

The only complaint I have about January is the lack of right winger signed. Can't believe Roberts is still completely unchallenged despite his performances being bottom half level both on the eye test and the data. Never been so angry with a player in my life.
Didn’t have a touch of the ball for the first 20-25 minutes and when he did he gave the ball away not my say so but the SAFC commentary and then has to make comments about the team’s performance not being good enough .

REGIS LE BRIS says he would relish having another crack at Coventry in the play-offs.

Sunderland fans could be forgiven for hoping for anyone but the Sky Blues should they get there, so dominant were Frank Lampard's men in Saturday's game in the east Midlands.…

He said: "It is the case today but in one month it will be different.

"It is possible we will play Coventry again - I hope it will be the case. Maybe the final, we'll see. We have eight games so many things can happen.

"For us the main point is to build momentum. We have to rest and recover from the last period and I hope we will find another solution to push the team.

“To go all the way and be promoted you need to face strong teams and Coventry are a strong team."

Coventry manager Frank Lampard was also wary of giving this game extra significance should the rivals clash again in May.

He said: "We may, we may not and if we do that game in two months' time will look completely different.

"It's good for the players to feel they can play against them like that today but who knows what the future holds?

“It is good that belief is growing, that's for sure, but those play off games would look and feel different."

Le Bris can be reassured that his players are aware of the need to up their collective game for the run-in.

Winger Patrick Roberts said: "We are in that crucial part of the season where we need to gather momentum. Today, we lacked an awful lot.

“It’s a loss we’re embarrassed about. To give them two goals like that is unacceptable. It’s not good enough.

“We’ve got to regroup. We need to take the break as a positive. There has been a lot of games where we’ve picked up some good results but overall, it’s been disappointing for our standards and expectations. We all know that.

“We need to remember that there is a hell of a lot of football to play. We can’t be naïve to that, go into the final part of the season and pick up some momentum. Learn from this game and try and put things right.”

Dennis Cirkin's hopes of a first England Under-21s cap could have been dashed by a hamstring injury however.

"I don't know really how serious it is, we'll see probably on Sunday or on Monday," Le Bris said.

Its all to play for what more could we wish, results in this league are so unpredictable its impossible to say what will happen , all we need is one or two regular starters to start performing if they can , and we will have nothing to fear.

Isidor needs to buck his ideas up mind. On the pitch for just under 40 minutes on Saturday including added time and contributed nothing.

8 touches, 3 of them in the Coventry box.
2 shots off target, one of them a particularly poor finish.
0/3 completed passes.
0/2 dribbles.
0/3 duels won.
2 offsides.
1 foul.

Eerie level of confidence from RLB to say he wants to play Coventry again

he’s still the man for me, couple of concerns but I’m still happy to give him the whole of next season (unless we’re absolutely shocking)

10D Chess from Reg. Clearly he knows how to demolish Coventry and so threw the game to get them in the playoffs. Totally not coping.
