The more concerning thing now is we create **** all, under walter we were guilty of missing clear chances, now bugger all.
I think thats a bit kneejerk. We created a lot of chances as recently as stoke. Yesterday was poor but let's not go over the top.

You’re always taught to head it down but Jones headered straight at their keeper.

You're told to head it back towards where in came from on the assumption the keeper is sprawling.

He kinda did it right but the keeper didn't move so much and just a straight bullet would have done the job.

Truth is, a solitary header on target, from a centre half in the 83rd min, in a game near 70% possession is just not good enough.

That's not down to Alfie.

It's really frustrating. Cos it's true, they are a **** team. They wanted Ryan Longman last summer to improve their attack, we were in a position where we could offload him because we've got loads of better options. Yet they're 12 points ahead of us. Hopefully it won't upset anyone me using this word again, but it is embarrassing.

Portsmouth are another one. When we played them at home they were rock bottom, think they'd lost every away game and we were all over them in the first half but as always we didn't kill them off. They scored just after half time, totally penned us in for the rest of the half and should've won, and they've improved since then and are now miles ahead of us. Again it's embarrassing really when I think back to how poor they were then, that they're so far ahead of us now.

We need to stop ****ing around with chancers an employ a proper solid experienced manager.

Counter view.
Kamara put in a great cross for Jones, which he should have buried. That shows I'm not jumping on him.
However, that other cross that several are saying was great and that our forwards should have been 'gambling' on was to my mind poor play. It was nicely cushioned but a hit and hope cross to nobody. How can it be a great cross if there's nobody there! In another breath, posters are saying we don't have strikers hanging back for a pull back! To me it looked like Kamara didn't have the confidence to take it down, then either take his man on (which a confident attacker would relish doing from that position 1 on 1 in the penalty box) or look up and pick out a man. He did neither, he just cushioned it hopefully into the baby box. Wrong decision.

He’d just taken a man on and got past him not long before that ball. But I agree about the cross, great technique to pull that off and there probably should have been or at least deserved for there to be someone attacking that area but I always used to say the same about Robbo, as good as his whipped in balls looked they were 9/10 to absolutely nobody.

Could we not have started with Alzate and got straight into them and tried to get an early lead and then sub him when he indicated he was knackered.
Maybe he thought Slater, Matazo and Crooks could do a job without Alzate, keep him fresh for Tuesday. The way we started with Matazo looking good it might have worked, but for the injury.

A solitary chance is not to be blamed
But its def a weakness of jones

He doesnt score goals barely ever

I feel like successful teams always have a few goals per season from centrebacks

Jones and macca have 2 goals between them in about 200 combined games

I don't get this at all. If the science tells them he's at risk of injury if he plays more than 30 minutes, then you listen to that.
If you’re in a position to rest your best players then I get it. We didn’t have that luxury. Long term approach, listen to the science. Pivotal game of the season, don’t rest our best player, who’s not coming back from a long-term injury, and is still fit enough to play.

It's not just resting him out of luxury though, it was that they had good reason to believe that playing him for more than a certain number of minutes would've been exposing him to an unacceptable injury risk. This is why we have sports science specialists.

It’s bollocks, if he’s fit enough to be In the squad, play him in one of our biggest games of the season.

So you think he did it for a laugh, right?

So he plays him and then the likes of you criticise even more when he goes off injured and misses the next 4.

But you clearly know more than professional coaches and medical staff....

Can't win either way can he, numpty?

Wasting your time on the ignorant here I fear.
