    It just lazily gets repeated over and over on here. It happens under all managers at all clubs when there's a player carrying a knock but can play some part. Drives me absolutely nuts.

    And telling me I'm talking bollocks when it's come straight from the horses mouth set the tone of my response.

    well clearly if he came off injured and I’d been advocating for him to play then I wouldn’t be complaining with the decision to risk him would I you cretin.

    if he’s fit enough to play 35 minutes off the bench, I’m saying risk him for the first half in the hope he helps us go in with a lead. He’s our best player and it was a huge game for us in the season.

    wouldn’t claim to know more than sports scientists, but it’s also not black and white. Plenty of ex-pros who think it’s gone too far the other way and gambling on him from the start for 45 minutes compared to off the bench for 35 is a risk I would’ve taken.
