You're right in that a big part of the vote was about telling Westminster to eff off.
I wouldn't know, I've not seen any figures tbh.

And you never will, because we don't poll people on such things nor would they readily disclose something like that, but yes BREXIT was about a lot of built up resentment towards politics in general, policy less so.
Brexit was about Gammon xenophobia and 'taking back control', although taking back control of exactly what was never explained.Gotcha, no wonder I hadn't seen any evidence.
He's backed ZelenskyHas Nigel said anything about the unelected Musk meddling in US affairs?
But he has also said Trump is doing a fantastic job. Now if there was ever an example of cognitive dissonance, this is it.He's backed Zelensky

I voted for brexit, I don’t know what a gammon is, I’m definitely not xenophobic (or at least my interpretation of it) and not racist although I do believe everyone has the ability to be or prejudiced in certain situations.
Any how I voted because I thought we’d be better off financially making our own deals globally, Covid then the Russian invasion blew any chance of that out of the water. But what I do think is that MP’s are paid to make educated decisions and the public should never have been given a vote on something as important as that.
The issue for me was the blatant lies that were told to the public - The same **** is happening now with Farage and his cronies and a lot of people are falling for it hook line and sinker.I've had many conversation with people who voted to leave Europe. Not one person has given me ONE example of how their life is better financially or another other metrics.... massive mistake

Gammon slur is the name given to white people of a certain age, usually remarked by people who are immature, blinkered and unable to hold a conversation without resorting to insultsI voted for brexit, I don’t know what a gammon is, I’m definitely not xenophobic (or at least my interpretation of it) and not racist although I do believe everyone has the ability to be or prejudiced in certain situations.

I thought it would be a large minority vote, enough to make them take notice and try to change but it wasn’t. Rejoining/new alliances, I’m not clever enough to know what the answer is but I know it needs to change for us and in particular our children/grandchildren.That’s a very good point mate.
I didn’t have a clue about what Brexit would mean because of the mass of information that was thrown at us, much of it misinformation, lies and pure speculation. The fact that people are still arguing about what it was supposed to mean proves that point.
On this thread, for example, someone is claiming the majority of people voted leave purely to have a pop at Westminster. I've heard all kinds of reasons, none of which make sense to me, but that poster may be right. What is crazy, to me though, is that people who voted leave are still incredibly proud of something that's so clearly failed.
It always looked like Brexit was a vote 'to go back to the good old days' where we'd be trading with the Commonwealth, go back to Imperial measures and keep the foreigners out ...
... sadly it's only Britain, particularly the elderly, who sees any sense in this kind of nostalgia.
We've selfishly made things much worse for our children and grandchildren but some simply don't care.
