https://streamin.me/v/wr0mvkeq Sells the defender, takes a great first touch and buries it. Superbly taken.
Lovely goal but he's 36yrs old and if he was still with us we would have seen a photo of him post surgery with his thums up and his ACL or Hamstrings in a kidney bowl He came to us 10 yrs too late imo, shame
My how the time has flown. Super Jan with probably the best performance I have ever seen from a Spurs defender in my life.
Incidentally, our line up that evening was: Hugo Foyth Sanchez Toby Aurier Winks Sissoko Jan Eriksen Son Moura So don't ever tell me Ange can't get more out of his players. Absolute bollocks he can't.
Probably my favourite game from when we called Wembley home we were behind the goal that Jan scored in great night.
It was a great night indeed, but I think Willy Gallas' performance against the Gooners in the 2-3 win at the Hemorrhoidsis still tops for me.
I was wondering why the **** we were playing Vertonghen at left wingback at the start. No striker, 5 at the back, Alli injured... it was not looking good. I was roughly in line with the edge of the six yard box of the goal that we were attacking in the 2nd half. Absolute masterclass.
Sees them passed Juve with a goal in the second leg. Looked finished to me at Spurs (albeit never a wingback or fullback) but hats off to him.
Lets hope Ivan does the business if they get the goons (its 50/50 chance!) Terrible round for Serie A, Juve, Milan and Atalanta all out and with them probably the 5th champions league place!
This and the win over the Chavs when Sonny switched on the afterburners are my best memories of the games I went to at Wembley Another great memory was the win over Real , me and my son watched it in a local boozer , landlord was a gooner and told us to keep the noise down !!!! After we scored the 3rd we had the whole pub singing " oh when the Spurs " pissed the gooner off big time and told not to come back Glad to say it was closed by the brewery that year
A clip just popped up on my social media, highlights of the 2-1 win at the Lane against Chelsea. What a game that was. Goals from two of my favourite players of all time. And from a team and manager that I just adored. That BMJ side was legendary. I was behind the goal to witness Lesley's tackle on Robben. To this day the best tackle I have ever seen.
