The Grauniad will be running articles saying they're not a serious club any week now...Absolute madness that they didn't replace Nketiah and Smith-Rowe in the summer, let alone January.
Ran Saka, Martinelli and Havertz into the ground and they're all crocked now.
Still, at least they've got about half a dozen left-backs, eh?
Perhaps buying good players is a bit harder than most seem to think. Even Guardiola seems to have run into a set of average signings.Absolute madness that they didn't replace Nketiah and Smith-Rowe in the summer, let alone January.

Most posters on here think we've failed to as far as I can see. Including me. But I don't think that's surprising because it is so hard.Who said it’s easy to buy good players?
Guardiola made a series of rather naive mistakes, by his standards.Perhaps buying good players is a bit harder than most seem to think. Even Guardiola seems to have run into a set of average signings.
Not the first time he's done that, eitherGuardiola made a series of rather naive mistakes, by his standards.
You could see that some of his older players were running out of steam, de Bruyne and Walker in particular.
Combine that with Rodri being key to the system and having no backup and selling Alvarez without replacing him.
He's also gone with a bunch of centre-halves and virtually no fullbacks, for some reason.
It's not average signings that's done the damage, in City's case.
It's a lack of team balance, foresight and perhaps a bit of arrogance.

Reasonably sure Schalke's coach wouldn't post an "inspirational" video which causes people to cringe so hard they **** their pelvis, eitherYou must log in or register to see images
Schalke are currently 13th in the 2. Bundesliga and losing 2-0 at home to Paderborn!![]()
“They get it now” - Tony Pulis.
I do recall having to share that exact page on Facebook a couple of months ago for similar reasonsI've seen and heard a number of filth fans saying variations of "they only beat Utd".
Generally speaking, I'd say that's a fair assessment. They're not very good, by their own admission.
However, I'd also have to bring this up:

At home against 10 men for an hour and still couldn't do what we did four times this season.
Maybe it would've been a different South London team lifting the FA Cup this week if they had?
