Winning and confidence is what we need and a good result with Ipswich helps a lot. A Saints win here will set us up nicely for the rest of Feb.

Juric has got to grips with who the first team is and we look a better outfit now. I reckon a strong line up for this one to keep us moving in the right direction.

Burnley will be a tough opponent, but I like a cup run and this one I have down as ...

Another Saints Win!

Burnley made 10 changes to their first team for their third round game against Reading. Presumably they'll field a second-string against us also, considering they have a game tonight, and next Wednesday.

If we put out our strongest team, this game really should be put to bed by half-time. Then we can rest players if necessary.

They’re hard to break down tho. Only 3 goals conceded in Championship since beginning of Dec & that’s 12 games with the last being eight clean sheets in a row. Of course that’s obviously their 1st eleven, so much will depend on who they put out & as above, they’ve got midweek league games before & after. Jeez, just checked & no one has scored more than one goal against them in the league all season (9 in 30 games) & they’ve only once conceded more (2) vs Wolves in LC.

We're on the march with Jonny's army :emoticon-0159-music

Over 7k left for this still with the Kingsland obviously closed also. I reckon about 18k this time.

So may we <laugh>

But working on the assumption both sides will field their strongest 11, I can't see past a Burnley win, unfortunately. Happy to be wrong, mind
I don't really understand that logic TBH. Burnley may not concede many but they don't score many either. I think Fernandes, Dibling and Sulemana have enough to trouble them.

First taste of the Northam Wall and safe standing for me
I tried that for that game v a West London team. It was fun for about 5min but a few absences after ht, 6 rows in front of us empty by 75 min so the Wall tried hard but on that day the team gave up after 5 min. This week I suspect it will be much better, here’s hoping you have a great afternoon. A tip those railings are damn cold, so gloves a good idea!! I’m back in Itchen this week.

Am hoping Marcus Edwards doesn’t go straight in for them. Am otherwise reasonably confident on this one - they have other fish to fry.

Burnley are playing home to Oxford tonight 1945 ko
Yes, they also have a game next Wednesday. You'd expect them to make changes against us.

We have a week between games before and after this and a squad short on confidence so I hope we put out a strong team.
