Ditto on your last point. Vardy to score and Leicester to win at 10/3 was basically buying money.

Just a thought, why don't we stick a giant potato salad in goal for the next game, chuck a couple of the promising young sausages into defence and play a veggie burger up alongside Tall Paul up front?

The majority of our playing staff and management should be hauled over the coals an told to burger off.

Having slept on it I only have two more comments to make on this match.

That was seriously way up there with the ****test of the **** performances this season. Leicester are ****ing terrible and we made them look a decent side. Every bit as bad as Spurs and Brentford imo.

I know it's been discussed but the serenading of Matty was genuinely absolutely class. It's hard to appreciate if you weren't there just how constant and defiant it was for the entire remainder of the match after the substitution was made.

Honestly don't think I've ever seen anything like it. These spineless ****s don't deserve our support.

Oh and god help us if we play Pompey away first and early in the season. If this lot turn up at Fratton in say September/October we'll get ****ing battered.

Not sure that's accurate; have we had any up points?

    Double <laugh>

Yeah we've done class against those teams. 3+ goals conceded in 9/10 games and 4 of those games are against sides currently in 14th and 16th.

He can **** right off tbh.

None at all, we can't go any lower, the only way is up, it just needs fixing, the question is who and how, that is beyond my coprehension at the moment.

You’re very fortunate. I watched to whole game. Absolute shambles. The “defending” for the first goal was Sunday league class. Our forward play was just pedestrian & safe. Not Rusk’s fault (totally) but we were slow right from the off & Steptoe’s goal was just inevitable. How old is he? 38? He was sharper, looked quicker & way cleverer than anyone who played up front for us the whole game. There’s so much work to do, it’s beyond me that we can challenge next year.

I've really disliked the bloke after Forest away. He thinks he's ****ing way above Saints completely ignoring his role in all of it. He's a twat

The second half against Brentford was disgusting. Maybe the most unacceptable half of football I've ever seen from us - which is saying something.

But taking the 90 minutes as a whole, I agree that yesterday was right up. Leicester won't have an easier game all season. I didn't hear any taunting towards us by the home fans - I don't know if that was because they can sympathize with our situation, or they were gobsmacked to realise that there really is a worse side than them in the division.

I've rarely been prouder to be a Saints fan though. 30-odd minutes of trying to tell Matty that we love and appreciate him and we want him to stay, even if the idiot in the dugout can't see it.

For those who still get angry and depressed over a football match and a really ****ty performance, there will come a time in your life when the pain will lessen and you will eventually reach the point where it no longer hurts. You just feel a little disappointed and move on and you don’t waste hours being miserable and making the lives of those around you miserable too.

I must admit to shouting some expletive laden advice re sex and travel to the coaching staff when Matty F was subbed and at other times during the game but a couple of post match beers on the sunny terrace and a shrug of my shoulders and the disappointment was overcome. I can't wallow in misery after what has been one of the worst seasons since first going to the Dell in the mid '50s.

**** off has become my go to expression for pretty much everything I see in our games.
Sometimes accompanied by a bemused smile.
