No reason to think otherwise, he’s still a kid with brothers in the academy and appears to have had a great attitude.

It's hard to imagine Watson sulking if he doesn't go, he's not the type. He'll just concentrate on having a cracking end to the season and either going up with us or continuing to impress prem sides.

A lot has been said about Watson, but credit to the lad. I'd much prefer he went to Brighton, who let's be honest love the lad, than go to a United or a City. He'd never get a sniff at City. United would have him in and out after about 2 years.

Brighton are like us but 10 years in the future, they're who I think we should aspire to be. They will know how to develop him and we will see another Sunderland fan playing at the top I hope...

But I think he's gotta be staying because we obviously didn't get what we wanted in that respect, I think he gets his head down and scores 5 goals as we sail into 2nd...

Question is if we go up, does he stay and sign a big meaty deal? You'd have to think yes?

Tbf to Watson he didn’t ask for Brighton to bid silly money for him. He’ll get his head down I’m sure, local lad as well. Dunno if he’ll sign a contract mind, but really, losing out on £5m or so compared to what we’d get in the summer if he goes then is a small price to pay if he has an impact between now and end of the season

The way we delay all sorts of announcements I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if we announced Danns at 08:30 tomorrow morning

You must log in or register to see media

if Danns was off surely it would have been announced now by our journos

id have expected it to come from Liverpool.

but the fact nobody has confirmed it has happened clearly means nobody knows for sure it has. So who knows
