that’s the thing - we keep seeing these numbers and we’ve almost become used to them. But £20m is still more than we’ve EVER paid for a player. It’s an insane amount

As things stand the first team squad is worth twice, perhaps thrice, what KLD paid for the entire club including the Samson & Delilah costumes ...

... and some people, on social media, still claim he's milking the club or using his mam's money.

Surely there's a point when they give in, accept reality and drop the grudges.

Life would be so much nicer for them, all that angst and tension can't be good for a person.

Don't think anyone has bid that amount have they ?

Is it just what we have quoted to fend of any interest?

When you think how good £5m players tend to look at this level, it really does hit home what we’re on the cusp of seeing with safc. And that is our worst case scenario!

just what was in that news article earlier. Don’t think they suggested it was bid, just that they were reported to be considering.

almost certainly nonsense. My point was purely about these figures that are getting banded about. They’re a lot!

Their accuracy isn't really the issue, as you say, it's that the national media are reporting them.

Whatever the case it's a measure of just how far the club has come and how we're progressing.

Dismissing them, for whatever reason, doesn't change that fact.

I mean a deal like that would for me suggest we would be losing one of our better midfielders.
 
I know absolutely nothing about the lad but just looking at some heat maps from this season and he spends a lot of time in the wide left area. He's definitely a more natural 10 though.
 
Doesn't really play our wide, not got the pace for it - better as a 10 with runners ahead of him or in a midfield 3.

If we are looking Russian though... Batrakov would be nice.
