Lad otr saying deal done for Watson. Pretty sure he gets the odd bit of info.

IF true, good luck to the lad hope he develops into the player we all think he can be

He's a new poster, similar to the ones we always get on here every window.

What is it with that, always the same crack and only seem to post on the transfer threads <whistle>

He's been around for a while, pretty sure he gets info around the Neil camp as well

I don't have a dig, I say it as I see it.
I know if SD did not buy us we were in big trouble, so believe it or not, your choice.
Loads know the truth, some accept it some don't.
We were in big trouble with SD in charge

A joke of an owner that was ruining our football club

Thank God for KLD and KS, they've saved us

Defo feels like we’ve switched from a versatile forward to a CF & a winger, and made Isidor perm to enable it, which suggest there’s an unknown quality winger target yet to leak

I'm just thinking the wages we've saved on Connolly, ,Rusyn and Aouchiche have enabled us to sign Isador on a contract?

If we don’t go up the summer is gonna be pretty exciting from a window perspective isn’t it :D

I reckon we will need a couple of full backs, one or two centre backs, three or four centre midfielders, a couple of wingers at least and probably another striker. Maybe a keeper as well.

and likely £100m+ to do it. Could see record spending in the championship (as a whole, not on one player)

Fair play to him. Likely edged out a bit by Ribeiro and time for him to make his own way,,

aye I’m personally really happy for him. Almost a sense of pride seeing him getting a move like this.

I really like Wycombe. I hated their style of play under Ainsworth but all their fans I met at the checkatrade final were great. I’d love to see Dodds managing in the championship next season.

It's not 'buying the club' that's the issue Bob.

The problem people* have is the mess he made of everything and the talent he cashed in on to keep things going ...

... I just can't imagine the shambles the club would be in now if KLD hadn't bailed him out.

There's no way the club would be where it is now with Donald involved.

*These are the people I know and go to games with, I'm not speaking for anyone else.

Some people seem to have taken against Speakman and say he's aloof, arrogant and self-centred, fair enough ...

... but I doubt very much that he's shedding tears over Dodds or wanting one of his chums to come to hold his hand.

He wants success for himself which means success for us all.

If he'd wanted someone he knew RLB would've had someone forced on him, instead we waited and brought in a coach we thought was the right man.

All of a sudden the whole club looks professional from top to bottom ...

... I was told last week that Doris, the tea lady, had new castors fitted to her trolley and a designer tabard with the club crest <laugh>
Imo when he took over we were a mess on and off the field, to take over at sunderland when he did , you needed to be self confident, arrogant and aloof
He's done/doing a cracking job long may it continue.

this will be unpopular but if that bid came in first week January I’d have snapped their hands off.

harder now.
I’m not saying Hume isn’t a solid player and solid part of a good team. For the team to go up a level though it’s one of the positions I would improve on. At this late stage in the window it’s a risk and potentially unsettling, though might get us Ballard back on the field, but 20million is an unbelievable deal and I’m certain we could get better for half of that.

Not sure we could get better before the end of the window though

I couldn't care less if Speakman is an absolute tyrant with anyone who doesn't invest in the club tbh.

The facts are that good players want to come here and stay here because of the coaches and the way it's run ...

... loan players are happy to come and their clubs respect us.

That's a long way from the basket case under Donald, and even Short, when we were a shambles and laughed at.

It's us who are laughing now :emoticon-0103-cool:
