I see Brighton are about to sell Valentin Barco for under 10 to Strasbourg.
That would be a player who would be magnificent pick up for us. Really strange sale.

Massive compliment to a player if Brighton spot him. No value in a sale for me at this point with what they are allegedly offering.

I get the squabbling, but I think we should be calm about the club. I'd be very shocked if we lost Jobe, nevermind for the price touted. I know many have said you can't compare prices and valuations, I disagree when I see the price of some players. Eiran Cashin, 10 million upfront. Not saying he's a bad player, but Jobe is a midfielder with defensive and attacking attributes, strong physical, mental and technical attributes, that also scores goals and talks on the pitch.
That sounds like Roy Keane I know, seriously though, that doesn't scream 23 million, unless that's upfront and we get 20 over 2 years and a sell on clause.

Anyway if we’re in the PL next season I can’t see our local stars wanting or needing to move on.

It would be different in the player was 26/27 and sees it as their last chance at the PL.

I hope that the fee is higher and includes add-ons taking it far above that . I would expect Brum have a sell-on clause which needs to be factored into any final negotiation too. I tho, like others have said expect him to stay until the Summer. Think he'd like to help us get to the PL first and if he does I reckon he would stay.
Just shows what a team we have with all these clubs after our younguns, I personally don't think we'll sell anyone who is important for us in this window.

I hate the word but this is exactly what KLD want from the ‘model’.
It protects the club long term and makes us an attractive club for up and coming talent. We’re in good hands when it comes to transfers imo.

Buzzing we've turned down the bid for Tommy like. Need to keep Jobe too.

If we got him for a 15% sell on and whatever pittance we paid we absolutely had their eyes out.
I assumed the sell on would be hefty.

Interesting that. I was always under the impression that it was 15%. Just did a quick check and all their local and national journos are quoting 15 in recent articles when Jobe has been subject to transfer speculation.
