Not sure we should be saying yes to something like that in a Jan window though. The aim is promotion and he is crucial to it

Not saying we should. Just that we seem quite an honourable bunch. Perhaps too honourable!!!

Without any evidence to back it up, I would like to think Jobe would play out this season with us - can take his time with a lot more options in the summer to choose the right one.

or best case scenario tackle the premier league as a guaranteed starter at a place he’s settled

Yeah exactly, wouldnt need to move if we went up - but based on how thorough the family were last time out I don't think they would rush into going to the first team that hit our asking price as a panic towards the end of the window.

How would people feel about us selling Jobe but keeping him on loan until the end of the season and using the money on a couple of players this window?

Start of the window I would’ve but not at this stage, think we’d be in panic mode and teams would have our pants down. If we got £30m for him and had the full window to reinvest even half of that we’d be a better team second half of the season imo.

No idea mate but it's them and UTD who have met the price so far.

Mey the price of £23m. Surely that isn't the price anymore? The lad has been phenomenal this season! I don't watch a lot of football outside our matches but I assume he is one of the best in the championship this season?

I don't see how £23m with what he has on his contract is close to what they want even in the summer never mind now?

If the bid is over 20 (should be higher) but it would facilitate 2 or maybe 3 signings. Realistically we have another 2 or 3 years before we're at the point where we can start turning offers down.

We're still in the building phase and our hierarchy are proving that they're excellent at identifying good long term deals for the club.

I'm really content. We've moved big so far and we're chasing promotion. In the same breathe, we're not throwing everything at it and jeopardising out future. If it takeaway another season , with this team, staff etc, we will likely to be in an incredibly strong position to go up, which was always the long term strategy

If that’s the way the club wants to be then we may as well become a feeder club. Club has to put itself first, jobes just signed a new deal, clearly happy here. Hopefully I’m not proved wrong but be stunned if he’s sold this window.

Already excited to bang the drum for selling players in the summer. My favourite topic.

Yeah i agree, we are going to have a lot of interest in our players, as we have a lot of very good players. We won't sell this late in the window

There's no way Bellingham would have a clause in his contract that specifies he can leave halfway through a season.

If that was the case he'd have gone to Man Utd in the first few days, not the last few days.

If there is a clause and Utd are happy to pay the amount required why is there any delay?
