Better too deep than too shallow is my feeling.
Of course the PL is the goal but not to get there and do exactly what Southampton are doing. They went up with a manager ‘they loved’ and who’s now long gone. The team are stinking the place out and the fans are suffering one humiliating defeat after another.
PL is the goal but it can quickly and easily become an own goal.
Yeah but that was down to their manager being stubborn with his play style. RLB's style has more chance at success i reckon as we can focus on counters
Never heard of Marcus Edwards, from reading on here he is decent young player with potential to improve, so certainly ticks the boxes.
I am still relaxed that we will bring in the player/players the club and RLB have identified in the areas they have agreed we need help. If we cant get the ones we want then i believe the club wont just bring in any old player just to fill a gap and I am fine with that. There is loads of time left in the window.

can never tell with these rumours. All it takes is somebody to read it on here, put it on twitter and then some random site decides to take a punt on it. Other sites then copy that one.

That's why I love the forward planning of our club, I believe they think we have the right foundations to now stay up and that's why they are now pushing so hard this window.
We have a base of youngsters that can step up, we have Le Fee and hopefully 1 more on a similar deal and stature to come in.
I believe if we go up we will sign 4 PL quality players.
This compared to other teams that go up with squads of players that are too good for the championship but not good enough for the PL.
This is what has infuriated me over the last 4 years when we have fans calling KLD and KS for signing kids and showing no ambition.
Yet we could be on the verge of the PL within the 5 year plan with a team of players we couldn't afford to buy right now
Seen a couple of rumours we want to make Wilson permie to free up some loan spots... would make sense.
