If Marcus Edwards signs I might spontaneously combust
Edwards would be unbelievable
and simon moore + ben middlemas, but that wasnt as excitingJust a fun little fact, Marcus Edwards just changed agents last week to the same as Dennis Cirkin and Dan Neil... quite topical with all the discussions recently![]()
Yeah he’s fell down the pecking order thereJust seen he hasn't played since November, maybe he needs mins, loan to buy on obligation which could get him PL football next season if he wants?
‘If you agree to my clients’ new contract requests then I’ll put a good word in for you with Marcus….’Just a fun little fact, Marcus Edwards just changed agents last week to the same as Dennis Cirkin and Dan Neil... quite topical with all the discussions recently![]()
it just makes sense‘If you agree to my clients’ new contract requests then I’ll put a good word in for you with Marcus….’
And voila, we end up with all three.
Roker is the English algarve too, welcome to Sunderland Marcus ladYeah he’s fell down the pecking order there
we love giving people a home in England
Premier league clubs won’t take a gamble on him now he’s not played this yearHe's definitely going somewhere in the next 3/4 days its just whether we can give them and him the best solution, been training on his own over there ahead of them sanctioning a move to somewhere
Premier league clubs won’t take a gamble on him now he’s not played this year
so I think it’s not out of the question we get him
he’d thrive more in our system than Burnley’s

This is where it gets difficult IMO. Finding players that are within our budget, able to contribute immediately while representing value for the longer term is really tough to achieve. I know the whole loan to buy on promotion wheeze is popular with fans after ELF, but even that doesn't really match with the brief (as if a club is willing to loan out without guarantee of sale, they're more likely to be out of the first team picture and therefore less ready to contribute for us from day one).I agree that we are a bit light in some areas and need to strengthen. For me, it's all about the quality we bring in. PL potential rather than high quality championship. RLB wants players who can contribute now though, so there is the conundrum.
