In fairness if I had a choice of Macmanaman Owen Gerrard Carragher. Tbh I'd choose emile Heskey who was recently on tour in Thailand for us doing work. Heskey never ever opens his mouth about lfc in the uk and is total leicester but takes money do go out wearing lfc kit in Asia And I'd still rather him than than any of those 4 dour clowns
We could still get a player or two in this window but if we don't and none of the 3 sign and we clearly need a LB we'd have to make some crazy signings in the Summer.
We're in deep **** if they all go to be honest, replacing that lot is 1/4 a billion if you want similar talent and we aren't spending half that.
We won't be signing anyone this window as slot has said he's happy so that that. As for the 3 the time is long past to protect the club by getting cahs in so I've tried to logically think what are the club doing if they are sane and rational but get absolutely torn into for daring to even say the club must not want the players at whatever they are asking for.
Anyway A) there's no cb in world football who can do what vvd does for us for the next 2 years. B) there's nobody we can afford to replace salah who is covering out ills at cf. You'd need a cf and rw bought to replace. C) we already have trents replacement but he needs to grow into it and stop getting injured. How the club have not sorted cb I don't know and konate is next to run down his deal. Soloing like a lot of changes right?
Nobody knows for certain though, if a target becomes available we'll buy. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't buy someone or if 2 turned up it's not something we get to see as fans.
Things change and like you mention we have issues at CF but if we got a good CF then the goals from Salah are not so important. Same at CB we can't buy a new VVD so things change doesn't always mean it's worse the new pairing may just work very well.
Was chaos but the fact is that midfield weren't good enough any more These 3 are all top of their game.
We have this same trauma every time we lose star players, but there's always another in the pipeline, or a different way to play. Fact is, we don't know what's going to happen and we have no influence over it, so there isn't really much point in doing anything other than wait and see.
I'd be amazed if all 3 went personally, but if we do lose them all it will be a severe blow - we have to be honest about that.
With the age of 2 of them it's just delaying the issue if they stay, there's no certainty that they'll be as good next season. However delaying gives us time Quansah more experience and that's not such a bad thing.
Put it this way I am 100% certain vvd will be every bit as good as now for at least 2 seasons. The only caveat is the one thst equally applied to any player which is the even of serious injury. Salah I am not so sure. This is more about the amount of work required at once rather than the natural cycles of teams. We let the mdfield all fall apart and were simply not ready so had to buy 4 players all at once. Letting two of the defence go while another ages rapidy and the lynching of thr attack go as well is just poor. Keep vvd for 2 years. Let trent go. I don't care. Bradley can do the job. Just buy the lb in the summer (or.more likely pretend Beck is good enough enough) Keep.salah for at least a year if we can as we need to move on nunez and jota possibl as neither lock down the 9 shirt. Try get that striker in next summer Then replace salah. The following year Then finally replace vvd if you can. That's my 3 year view if you want it. Tweak defence and strengthen attack this summer. Replace salah next year Finally replace vvd in summer 3 which is hard enough. We are looking at 3 of the back 4 gone with robbo age issues and konate contract running down. It's mad. We are looking at a forward line without 2/3rds of goals and assists with one guy gone and three others we can't reply on. Let's at least try build over time and buy ourselves that time
