I think it works because an option right now on present performance would be less than we paid. If he has an upturn in form they can negotiate from there
You’d think an option would be the minimum boro would want in the deal. Currently he’s **** so his value must be at a low, if he goes to Boro were he wants to be and rips it up in theory we’d want more for him in the summer than now……or have I got that wrong

I'm not saying he should be no1.....I'm saying that a club in our financial position wouldn't typically spend nearly 1 mil on a keeper, make him (reportedly) top 3 or 4 highest player if he's not intended to be our number 1 or at the v least challenging for the number 1 spot, ultimately the GK recruitment in the summer was just mental.
