Very good tactics as well, ie Isak didn't get a sniff all game, that hasn't happened to us before.

I think Roland is right about Howe not having a plan b. It was fairly clear within minutes that it wasn't going to work. The players huffed and puffed but they were completely powerless.

It remains to be seen whether another formation and tactic would have made any difference though.

Bournemouth look like a much better group of players.

Of course we'll adapt, we've obviously been doing something right if we won the previous 9 games. Was bad by us, by they were awesome on the day.

I was always worried about this fixture, I was only predicting a draw from it.

Howe didn't adapt though he changed a couple of players but the system was never addressed. That's all I'm saying should perhaps be something Howe needs to start doing when things are so very clearly not working in certain games.

I don't think there's much point in analysing it to death tbh.

Learn from mistakes and move forward.

That's what a few people are saying though... they never do learn. It's those odd games over a season here and there when you need to do something different that add up.... it was clear.

I don't think anyone expected us to get 9 wins from the last 10 games, it doesn't make sense analysing a loss in that sequence and claiming it's the difference.

To finish top 5 you can't lose many games, so when you get dominated from start to finish those are the opportunities to try and change how the games unfolding.

You can't just pick out the wins and not count the losses... they add up.

I really think more credit needs to go to Bournemouth than any excessive analysis on us tbh.

At no point have I not credited them and my observation isn't on just this game. I'm pointing out something that many people are which is a lack of a plan B when games are well out of the players control.

And yet I’m getting abuse from some idiots for stating the obvious.

That’s a terrible performance and result when if we had won we would be top 4.

Howe can’t get to the top because he’s limited. He can’t win the big games.

That was a monumental disaster of the highest proportions and some folks on here are like. Yes we had a bad day at the office.

Happy days eh!
And then there's others who go way OTT and spit their dummy out totally unable to look at the bigger picture.

I'm assuming Liverpool won't win the PL because they lost to Nottingham Forest at home earlier this season.

Seem to remember EH being manager when we beat Arsenal away in the League Cup semifinal. Might, by some, to be viewed as a bigger game than this one. But don't let facts get in the way of wild hysterical statements.

I love it when people do this. Everyone is happy with a bad day at the office. Ok.

I shall sit back and now await the verbal crap coming my way.

When all I am saying is we were terrible.

We lost 4-1. At home. And it’s not really acceptable.

When we are supposed to be challenging for top 4.
You obviously have no ability to read people whatsoever.

Where has anyone said they are 'happy' with either the result or the performance. Simple answer, nowhere.

Problem is you're not just saying 'we were terrible'. If you were I think everyone would agree with you. There's a reason why others are taking issue with you and it's your way over the top comments and complete inability to have any perspective.

Simples.

Bournemouth have 12 players out injured.

That just makes today even more inexcusable. Howe claiming fatigue is disingenuous and insulting. That lot out there today want a rocket firing up their arse by everyone for their lack of effort.
