i agree with that, but i dont even think Millar and Belloumi are as good as made out, they were best of a bad bunch but no world beaters. IMO
I personally think Belloumi was looking VERY good before his injury, Millar not as good but certainly a player capable of creating something from wide positions that we're not creating from now

Belloumi was our best player and probably still is. Millar offered a threat on the left but Millar was very inconsistent. Some of his end product was really poor at times.
His starting time was hampered by the (absurdly regular) international breaks early on with TW benching him after each trip back to N America, may have contributed to that inconsistency

Are they though? genuine question, i was Walters biggest critic and im glad hes gone, never liked his personality from the start
but starting to wonder if he was as useless as i thought, many of our players are just garbage as i think the Donny game showed. I dont now why we keep thinking we have good players in all fairness.
Ye I was nearly going to start a thread on pedro and the others
Posters keep ****ing over puerta alzate etc
But if they’re so brilliant why aren’t they rolling over teams?

But we've only got half a decent team. SW3's Ferrari'll be ****e running on half it's cylinders, but get them all firing and it's off!

I think it's not simple. The squad Walter had was much better than the one Selles has had to work with so far. Walter had a big squad with a lot of options, but half of them are unavailable now for one reason or another. We always seem to have this January availability crisis under Acun.

I think we have some very good players in certain positions. Goalkeeper, centre backs, midfield. And the full backs are better than people make out. But our wide options over the last month or so have been really weak and it's been hard to see how we can score goals with what's available. Pedro has been the only consistently available and in-form attacking player.

I don’t think Walter did have that many options tbh
Uncle ped and alzate both coming after the window shut and not been fit and injured and also our best players didn’t help him
As an example

We had a lot more options then than we have done the last few weeks. That wasn't the issue then. In another few weeks we'll probably have a decent squad again. But right now it's very light.

Can't see Crooks being available for a while yet.

Hopefully he and any other signings are available before the end of the month at the latest, otherwise we’ll be introducing new players with a little over a third of the season left.

They’re going to get some points from those games, it’s inevitable. Until they’ve played both games I’m ignoring them as one of the bottom three and teams we need to overtake in the short term. Working on catching up and overtaking both Cardiff and Luton is what city need to focus on.
