Was meant to say ready to go...... Sure the lads have been on the beers tonight. Pics early and not a full caption
Le Fee - Neil - Jobe The bench has been ****e for weeks now. FINALLY we’ll have some quality options to bring on.
That's fair enough, but there is a lot said / written in times of frustration that doesn't need dragging up, on the same way that when things go badly posts highlighting the super positive need dragging up. There's a middle ground and both sides of that can be just as guilty of pointing out the others previous. As an example and only because you have commented, you were very vocal about Dan Neil earlier in the season, now he's playing well no-one as far as I know has pulled up your posts from that time and you have said recently he is becoming the captain you hoped he would be Same as last year I was frustrated by the commercial side of the club, they have turned it round massively and I have praised them hugely for what has happened. As always there is a middle ground and because we are all so passionate it sometimes gets lost and past posts shouldn't be used as points scoring imo
Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce the signing of Enzo Le Fée. Arriving from AS Roma, the 24-year-old midfielder has moved to the Stadium of Light on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season. Le Fée is a product of Lorient’s youth academy where he developed under the guidance of Régis Le Bris. He made his senior debut for the Brittany-based outfit in 2019 and soon became an important player for his hometown Club, who he represented on 142 occasions. Only three Ligue 1 players created more chances from open play than Le Fée in the 2022-23 season, during which he also registered six goals and six assists in 36 appearances. After representing France at Under-19, 21 and 23 level, a move to Stade Rennais followed in July 2023 and he made 35 appearances last season, including six in the UEFA Europa League. Le Fée moved to the Italian capital six months ago and made 10 appearances for the Giallorossi this campaignbefore moving to Wearside. Le Fée said: “I’m very happy to be here and I’m excited to meet the people. There are some familiar faces with Wilson Isidor, Adil Aouchiche and Salis Abdul Samed. I also know the coach and I know how he wants to play, so I am sure this will also help me. Now, I just need to prove it on the pitch. I think that’s the most important thing and I’m very excited to play in front of the fans. This is a big club. For me, that is normal, and I can’t wait to get started.” Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman said: “We’re delighted to welcome Enzo to Sunderland and thank Roma for their collaboration on this matter. He’s a player we know well, and for Régis a player he’s worked with previously. The opportunity to acquire a midfielder of this profile, who already understands how our coach works, is a unique combination we had to pursue. Enzo is an outstanding talent and we believe he can elevate our level in the second half of the season. We are delighted to have strengthened our group so early in the window and we are looking forward to working with him.” Le Fée will continue to wear the number 28 shirt, which he previously wore during his time at Roazhon Park and the Stadio Olimpico.
Wonder if he can find a way to get 4 centre midfielders on pitch in a diamond with Cirkin bombing down the left and the left “winger” coming more inside (like Ipswich do) that way the left “winger” (or attacking midfielder) could be Jobe or Enzo
People shouldn't be sensitive about this sort of thing, if you're bold enough to proclaim something and it ends up wrong, it's good for the person to be confronted with reality, they can reassess and perhaps see where they went wrong.
People pulled me up, at the time, to my face and in slightly snide comments to other posters. I was vocal but considered in my posts, only commenting that Neil wasn't playing at his best which he's recently admitted himself. I put forward the possibility that he hadn't come to terms with the captaincy. I've always said I rate him but that he needed to cut out the rash decisions that gave away penalties and had him sent off. That's a far cry from people who've insinuated that the club is somehow corrupt, lacking ambition and being run as means to fill people's pockets. I'm not interested is scoring points but we all have to be responsible for what we post ... ... not everything can just be dismissed as banter or drivel spouted in the heat of the moment. Some of the accusations, about the owner and the club, have been far worse than that imo.
Th At the time debate is good, but point scoring sometimes a year after event isn't a great look imo Can I also add the worst culprit is me and I have let myself down at times when the negative posts come after a bad game or a defeat. Lessons to be learnt all round
If this rabble at the top of the club don’t behave folk might start thinking they have ambition, goals and the financial backing to try something. Penny pinching chancers.
I can't pretend I knew of this lad a week ago. But that's my limited knowledge . But it doesn't look like we're just floating, hoping things will happen. It looks as if we've chosen the moment to put our foot down. Full credit to all involved here. One other thing has occurred. This is a big effort, though we've made other big, singular efforts before down the years. But this looks measured. The type of big push that won't crucify us if it doesn't go as hoped. This lot know what they are doing.
