Yes almost unrealistic optimism, textbook us recently. Rumours on Twitter about Cannon and as Shark said, nothing credible in our interest but this was posted suggesting he could be available and if so I would imagine we would still be sniffing about.
We bring in 2 specialist wingers, that releases Burstow as an option through the middle. So that would potentially leave us with Pedro, Geldhart and Burstow, with added cover from potentially Crooks, who's non too shabby as a physical false 9, by all accounts. If he's on the move then I'm sure we're in for him one way or another. I'd be gobsmacked if we signed him though.
Gelhardt sounds great and all but the last thing we need is another striker that really needs to be playing in a 2 up top struggling to do all the donkey work on his own.
I think Cannon ended up at Stoke as Leicester wanted to loan him out and not sell him. I think at that point we were bloated with loans anyway. Leicester are now thinking of just cashing in, but I’m not sure our budget is still there for him and even if it was, why would he want to drop into a relegation battle.
we should go and bid for carlton morris 1. try and destabilise luton 2. they accept and lose their best forward 3. we get a good forward never forget luton 2005
Harry Cornick from Bristol City? Hasn't played for them much this season, has been on the bench, lots of experience, helped Luton get promoted too. Could also be Callum Paterson at Sheff Wednesday, who is more of a utility player but is very effective on the right wing.
Honestly? No. He's decent, reliable, not going to set the league on fire but he's the type of player we need. He's not blessed with pace, but he's good on the ball and gets stuck in.
