Not wrong there, dad was a filleter, hands in buckets of freezing cold water for 30+ years, poor bugger would slice through his fingers and not know it til he saw the colour !
I know matty jacob gets some stick on here. Some say he's out of his depth. I don't mind him. Plenty of room for improvement I agree, but I think hes our best left back. 100 per cent effort and hes the only one in the team who tries to win headers in the opposition box. I would play him with giles in front and ask them to work together up the left.
I like Jacob’s delivery, he likes to hit those low dipping crosses that always seem a lot more dangerous.
I like him too, but I'm not sure about both of them playing together. We did that in pre-season and it looked pretty bleak. I don't think Giles is dynamic enough to be a threat playing high up the pitch. Like a lot of full backs he's at his best arriving late on the overlap.
