we need a 6'5" player in there for corners, it is pathetic to watch. i wish there was only 3 games left now because this worrying, another team who needs a win and good old soft touch Sunderland come along i don't see 35,000 there now on years day minus me as well, ****e we are.

Nah we need someone who is an out and out striker who is trusted to score more than not. Wilson is good but he isn't that. Moves break down too much and he is inconsistent for me. Capable of the spectacular but drifts out of games far far too much. Wilson can be used outwide or rotate with the striker if needed.

I'm just thinking, worry less about the striker scoring and think more about them opening shooting space for Jobe and such.

Mallorca have this striker Muriqi (not a signing suggestion he’d be £20million plus), he doesn’t score many but he batters defenders and players run on. They have attacking full backs (like us) and CM who like to get forward.

They sat 6th in La Liga, which is crazy, by essentially using him and Larin (another muckle Canadian lad) to bully CBs.

Neither of the 2 strikers score a load but because of the wide players they are massively effective.

Wilson, I love him, but whatever anyone says he’s only strong when the games going our way.

Not deluded at all. I’m not ****ing off Tom Cannon from what I’ve just seen from him. Certainly not wanting the price tag that was going about either to be spent on it
Price tag? He’s on loan like. Excellent finish today. Just stating facts about him scoring more than any of our forwards so far this season. That can’t be argued.

Look all I’m gonna say is. I’m not saying Isidor is the saviour and he’s class and we don’t need another CF because we do.

I just don’t get how Tom Cannon did enough that game today to justify using him as a bashing stick for Isidor

The defeat won’t feel anywhere near as bad once the dust settles like

This playing squad and management team would be doing very well to get a play-off spot.
It'll def still sting no matter what as they are pi$h but moods change quickly if we win on Wed night

Today is crap and yes there's holes in the squad but it's the same with every club. We need more quality in January, RLB has said that and a lot on here have been saying that for a while.

We do need to go on a wee run now and keep opening up that gap to 7th place - we are capable of doing that

We aren't far away and the results did go our way (so far) today - which probably makes some more annoyed by the result

Made your weekend that result!

What chance did Isidor have today bar the one that was really well saved?

So he had a good chance then? A better one than Cannon scored from. Aguero was the best in the box because his movement was next level, he always found a yard. Teams are going to sit deep against us it’s up to him to find the space in the box so teammates pass to him, otherwise he’s never going to score in this team. We don’t have the luxury of being able to play on the counter every week and affording him all the time in the world to get his shot off.

Agree. Frustrating at the minute though. They were probably as bad as anyone we have played all season and we had enough of the game to have won well.
Its interesting when Bellingham has an off day we struggle.

Didn't think he was fantastic today but I still don't see why Aouchiche hasn't had more game time. He was our biggest threat by a distance and is always looking to do something. He's an all or nothing type of player which is probably why RLB doesn't trust him.

He didn't at lorient and binned him off their too. I think it's been a shame to have him unavailable for half a season TBH. Poor.

That said , seems to be getting mins now and that's a good thing. He set peices are class.

I don’t disagree with this. I think what’s frustrating from my side is this is clearly a weaker championship and we have a really incredible chance to go up this year. Then you add in how long can we keep the likes of jobe and Rigg and it becomes a bit of a desperation from my side. Still enjoying the season massively and really like the players we’ve got.

It’s been frustrating for a while. Most will struggle to believe it but I’m content enough with our season so far, just annoying that we keep missing opportunities to put real pressure on the top 2.

It’s just frustrating mate. We see how good we are one week then go into games that should be easier and bottle it. Feels like one step forward two steps back at times. We’re in a really good position now but even just beating these today and beating Plymouth would’ve had us top of the league. Two really poor teams that we know we’re much better than. If we missed out by 5 points come the end of the season these are defo the games we’ll look at and kick ourselves, it won’t be the loss away to another promotion chasing team. Now we have to beat Sheff Utd really imo.
