19 years old playing without a goal since the second game of the season. I saw a nervous lad when I watched it back. He was almost “too” desperate to score.
Shocking the way some if our fans are going on on social media about him mind!

Aye classic case of too much time to think about it resulting in indecision. I've been impressed before with how he gets his head up and is aware of his surroundings, not this time unfortunately.

Something I like about Regis is he keeps faith with his players and lets them learn from their mistakes. The number of times I've thought we should take Isidor off and he scores a minute later.

Ashamed of the vitriolic nonsense some of our so called fans spout on about at times.

People's thoughts on Patto yday? Thought he could have been better again me. Not getting off his line, helping the defenders out. Kicking poor again.

I think the main reason we keep conceding these scrappy goals in and around the 6 yard box is because our keeper is weak and doesn't help the defenders.

Wonder if Moore gets a sniff again. Did absolutely fine last time.

not because of yesterday but because our model is sell to buy, he’s one I’d be moving on first if it allowed us to reinvest.

From what I could see whilst working, we were obviously quiet first half and struggling with their seemingly gung-ho approach. I seem to remember them being better than us one game their not long back but we ended up winning.

2nd half we looked a different side, we really should have won, but for once I'm content with that point, knowing what it could've been.

I'm gonna be repeating other's opinions here but...

Dan Neil, he was wonderful and has been a fantastic addition these last ten or so games, been doing exactly what I want from him. His little movement and pass when Isidor scored was sublime yet simple stuff. When concentrating but relaxed he is a Rolls Royce in this league.

Mayenda blew hot n' cold, he's terrific and scaring full backs, he's so strong and very quick, his dribbling is sometimes good and sometimes poor, he's not a great passer or crosser, he's seemingly wasted at times out wide, but then when he gets their full backs going he's a right handful. I feel for him, but he definitely just had to do something there, whether it's try go round the keeper, open onto the left, go with the right...

In the last few years, I've not really been interested too much in what our managers have had to say. There's been some canny soundbites, laughable in one of two ways. But Regis is someone who speaks so much sense, I read some of his quotes in here and twitter and its just quality stuff, none of this old school cliche ****e, he gives excuses but valid excuses that are more insights into what went wrong and why. He's rectified a lot of issues game to game I feel.

I do feel that the sub stuff does play its part. Fresher legs running the lines with 10 minutes to go can make a big difference when under the cosh. I do wonder whats happened with Aaron Connolly, he's a good player at this level, I'm sure of it. We've seen at times what he's about.

As a few have said, who next with Rigg probably missing? AA you'd think, but I'd argue AC is more suited for Reg.

Aleksic needs to be featuring where possible.
The subs:rotation thing is a bit frustrating but the experience with Neil - and Jobe - kinda illustrates what we’re doing as a club. There’s been a lot of talk about Neil being ‘forced’ to play as dm due to a lack of other options. It’s become a bit of a referendum on the club strategy and ambition. I think we’re now seeing that it was a deliberate choice, and a plan to develop a player for our benefit on the pitch. Its involved playing through bad patches but we’re definitely benefitting from it now. Similar with Jobe last season and seeing the benefit this.

it’s why I’m willing to give RLB a bit of slack on subs and rotation even if it frustrates me a bit. These minutes will help the likes of Rigg and others to develop their game and learn from real game situations. Rigg has the talent to be hugely impactful. What he currently needs is the learning that will help him create more chances with more regularity. It’s something that can hurt us in moments - when we struggle to be effective, we run out gas or indeed when we get injuries and don’t have replacements up to speed - but I suspect we’ll benefit more from it than we’ll be held back by it. If the underlying talent is high enough it makes sense for us to develop it as much as possible. The likes of Mayenda will grow from the experience yesterday too - even if struggling out of position and missing a big chance can be seen as a negative.

I have said my worry has been fatigue and acute injuries happening to any of our 3 CM due to being over played. It's Rigg now, while it was very unfortunate, it's possibly being over played. I hope Jobe and Neil got continue to blast out the mins. They are a touch more robust and experienced (especially Neil) but I don't think a team in this league would have went through the festival fixtures playing the same midfield 3. It's a bit bonkers. I do get your points though.

We really aren't creating enough chances for him mind, the numbers show that. I'm not Isidors biggest fan, I think his hold up play is really bad, his movement is extremely inconsistent and his out of possession work isn't great but his finishing is very good. My opinion is that he'd absolutely flourish in a side that create 3/4 chances for the striker every game and doesn't need the striker to help with build up play but unfortunately for us we create maybe 1 good chance a game and absolutely need the striker for build up play. Good player but a bad fit for us at the moment.
Not sure our top scorer is a bad fit tbh mate.

If we would actually cross the ball to him more and actively aim for his runs he would have way more goals. Thats a team problem not an Isidor problem. We finally acknowledged his many front post runs yesterday and he scored from it.

the team has had a service issue for strikers since we had to play without one for so long.

I personally don’t agree at all with his hold up being really bad, seen many times he comes close holds the ball up and passes it out wide. That said I want to see him do it more often but I think in recent games he was itching for that goal so his game has suffered.

Maybe we just don’t agree at all regarding strikers as I know you really rate mayenda upfront and to me his 1 on 1 yesterday confirmed to me he has **** all goalscoring or centre forward instincts.

that’s said I think Mayenda has a bright future on the right wing

Did Mayenda even lift his head or was he head down and just sprinted into the keeper. Didn't even look like he attempted to take a shot, chip the keeper, or go round him. Was very strange. Don't expect to see that atr pro level.
Deserves the criticism thrown his way. It was pathetic.

He's still learning <doh>
Tbf the abuse shouldn’t be over the top but his failure to look up or even get a shot off showed me he’s not a striker whatsoever. If that was Ogunsuyi he has shown plenty times he would put that away. Age has nothing to do with it. Just lacks that goalscoring instinct and what centre forwards naturally do 1 on 1.

I couldn’t write on here some of the things I heard in the ground. Couldn’t care less personally, we should’ve been celebrating a win there.

watching that, at 2-1 the rigg header and the roll back to Bellingham are guilt edge chances to win the game. Both should be at a minimum on target.
