I couldn’t be more biased but he’s better off here right now, second half of the season he could very well be contributing from the bench at least, look how fast Rigg and Watson progressed once they started to get minutes, how good would it be to produce our own striker too

Clear route into the first team here and likely to feature sooner but I will say of all the top 4 or so Liverpool are probably the most likely to give a young lad a chance?

To add I'd be more worried of them poaching a young lad in comparison to Utd, City, Chelsea etc... at the minute.

But with this rumour the club won't be daft he will start to get minutes imo! He only has to look at Tommy, Rigg etc... to see that he will get the chance here.

Not transfer news but I was wondering if Huggins would be back anytime soon and seems more likely to be next season? Seen some updates from RLB saying could be back end of this or start of next?

I thought he was looking very good and would be a top full back with a chance to get fit and get a decent run without injury. Thought he would be class with him on one side and Cirkin the other. Shame for the lad!

I’d be very surprised if Huggins featured this season, it was a horrible injury. Cracking player and versatile too which is a massive plus, just can’t stay fit. Such a shame.

He's got very little chance of ever playing for Liverpool but they will be able to offer him good money, more than we can. It's a difficult decision for a kid because money is important. But if he was my bairn I'd make sure he took money out of every decision and focused on what's best for his football. The money will come if he does well. But I'm not an agent and you know where there motivation lies

Send him to Sunderland on loan, we'll make him a player again and sort out our forward line <cool>

The worry is that he’s currently fifth choice at safc at best and could be sixth in line if we bring in another striker in January. That’s a long way away for a team that really only plays one up top. It’s part of the problem of us balancing the desire to ‘show some ambition’ with the need to make space for our own promising players. If we’re gonna keep him we’re probably gonna need to make space for him at first team level very shortly.

My gut tells me Ogunsuyi will leave for very little. Hasn’t signed a pro deal despite being 18 which suggests he’s keeping his options open. And those options will start to present themselves.

I think he’d be foolish for it.

I have a feeling he will be one of those players who gets over this injury and stays relatively injury free rest of his career, having the odd niggle like all players do with a couple months out here and there but nothing like this again. He has been really unlucky and had two bad injuries straight after each other, doubt he will be as unlucky again! Good thing is the club seems to be aware of this and he is young enough so we are extending his contract so he can stay.

In fairness he was fit til this injury which was a freak incident rather than an injury prone injury. I think he’ll stay fit for us now

I think the best scenario for him is, he makes the bench soon, gets thrown on and manages to score, that'll probably throw him up the pecking order. I really like the look of him and would be gutted if we lost a youth talent who was a CF

Nout to lose by putting him on the bench in place of rusyn for me, rusyns not coming on at all and let’s face it he’s going in a matter of weeks anyway

I agree. Feels a bit wrong saying it because it’s obviously for a good cause but if I was a fan of United and my players form went out of the window because they were too busy with off the field projects I’d probably be pissed off! It’s like the holiday to LA or wherever he was around the time Ten Hag got the bullet then walking out head to toe in the most obnoxious Louis Vuitton outfit that just screams attention. I think there’s a moral responsibility that comes with being a footballer and if you aren’t performing then taking holidays mid season and living it up really paints a bad picture. I’d want my players to be on the training pitch trying to improve themselves if they were playing so badly.
