Hughton is the least inspiring appointment possible and it makes the last 2 years a complete waste of time

Im even more in favour if schumacher now

The only thing I can think with Hughton is that he’s coming in until January before Mowbray comes in - but we may as well do that with Dawson if that’s the case??

i think your wrong about Mowbray, he's good with a young squad, plays a decent style and has all the experience you need. He should never have been sacked at sunderland and had a decent start at Brum.
Health permitting he'd be my first choice 100%

    I take it back

Hughton is the most boring man to ever live
    Above even robins

    Talk about uninspiring, mediocrity

Im not sure Mowbray is going to be good to go January 1st - I meant after January when he is good to go.

I was at Blackburn for the last couple of years of his tenure and most fans that I spoke to weren’t sorry to see him go.

i suppose we arent getting pep, so whoever we get will have a blemish on their record. Cooper @ leicester, Robins @ Huddersfield etc...

Good lord, you really get yourself in some pickles over nothing at times.

There's not a single poster on here with even a wild guess at who's coming in,it could be anyone and whoever it finally turns out to be,surely it can't be any worse an appointment than Tim Walter?

We all then get firmly behind it and hope we can start some sort of resurgence to pull us clear of the bottom 3.

I like the idea of Ruben Selles much more than the likes of Mowbray or Hughton

I don't get the interest in Ruben Selles. Not much experience, none in the championship. What makes him attractive?

It’s just that Reading have been an absolute basket case with points deductions, lost a lot of really good players for peanuts, fans protesting etc but he’s still got them competing for a play-off place and playing decent attacking football.

He’s also speaks with a lot of passion and understanding of the game and seems to have built great relationships with the players.

Not enough imo. Couple of seasons more with a promotion under his belt then it's a different proposition.

Who is running the football side of the club?
There seems to be the chairman and head coach with nothing in between
    There is the recruitment guy

If he gets Reading promoted, the chances of him leaving for us are much lower.

I get that, but imagine if he does show success over a few seasons and a promotion we might have some bigger fish to compete with.

I believe Jared Dublin has been promoted to a Director of Football role. It looks like Jim Rodwell might come back as Vice Chair (or in some capacity, perhaps temporary). We need to bring in a new head of recruitment but think Dublin will cover some of this in the meantime.
