I wonder whether the club (or Andy Scott) has some sort of special relationship with Ipswich, which gives us first dibs on their duds.

 

Al Hamadi is a decent player. But our main problem is the defence.

Cue more bullsh*t from SE7, more pitiful attempts to raise a few false hopes among our more gullible fans (mostly over on ITTV), and more disappointment when the window closes and we have taken on a couple of kids, a crock, and perhaps offloaded a little dead wood.

Meanwhile the promotion contending teams pull ever further away.
Charlton are 7 points off 6th place right now.
That's half a point for every game we've played.

If I was a betting man I's stick £50 on that gap being 14 points or more by the end of January.
SMT Bullsh*t and unfulfilled rumours notwithstanding.

 

With our record on recruitment, there is no reason for optimism about this or any window. Do we even have a scouting setup?

I agree with that. But good loans have done well for us Gallagher, Rak - Sakyi. Cullen, Bielik, But we have had too many poor loans.
The owners will not be paying out anymore money if we are in the same position come the transfer window.

 

Definitely not - if we are still in this league position on 1 Jan, the SMT will write this season off. No way will they risk asking the investors for more ££.

 

We need a couple of decent wingers, a ball playing No.6, and a creative No.10.
