You’re probably right. Hope there’s some noise to come from the club on this during this latest international break.

Absolutely right and makes perfect sense. However, when has perfect sense stopped our board?

He has a very creditable track record so it would be a sensible appointment.
Also, a decision needs to be made one way or the other. Keeping Omer dangling isn't fair on anyone.
What that would mean for Riza I don't know. He's been a breath of fresh air for the club so it would be a shame to part company. How he would feel about stepping back into a coaching role only he can answer. Would he see it as a backward step now he's had a taste of sitting in the hot seat?

I wouldn't go with Carlton Palmer's "pundit" musings. Only a few weeks back he was urging the club to stick with Bulut only to turn completely around a few days later and say the club was right to ditch him.

Not saying Robins wouldn't do us a good job, but I hope it would take more than Carlton Palmer's opinion to get him it.

    Rather you than us.
I'd be OK with us taking your cast off though.

Him as DoF or Sporting Director, with Riza as Head Coach might well work.

Not sure. He's been out of football mangement for a while. As a DoF I would prefer someone more recently involved.

Keeping a watching brief is fine but being removed from the sharp end for sometime doesn't encourage me.

While I love the idea of this for the reasons you mentioned, I'd be very surprised if it happened given that Tan got rid of him by "mutual consent".
It would be great to see him again though.

I have a bit of time for him but I don't think he's a good fit for us and definitely not for Vince.

    What's this Riza bloke like?

Hope he gets the job. To be honest all this talk about Jones, Lennon etc doesn’t fill me with much hope. Riza is a hungry young manager, desperate to prove himself, and he has done a decent job so far. I believe he is our best chance to keep us in the league this season.
