Yes and no.

How long have we been saying that this board has a complete lack of football knowledge. So yes, Dalman is talking out of his hole, as usual. Just a box ticking exercise. I’ll only start getting optimistic when they move on and let someone who actually knows how to run a football club move in.

When did Tan get burnt by having a DoF?
I know I've slept recently, but I don't remember us having a DoF.

Dalman said once again Tan will not countenance the idea of a director of football, having had "a bad experience before and doesn't want to go down that route again", but the chairman did concede that "more football knowledge would be desirable".

Perhaps it was at one of his other clubs?
Regardless of where it was, one bad experience shouldn't prejudice the whole Idea. It works at other clubs but Tan won't see it that way.
Short sighted as always.
