Not too shabby so far .
Four games in to the 'tough run of fixtures' (10 games) that would "prove Slot's worth" and so far we've won three and drew one.

err lets not get carried away with comparisons to Sir BobWhat's that 14 wins out of 16 games so far?
Couldn't have asked for a better start really.
Slot - Paisley

Bob was the manager in my favourite seasonI'll agree with you once he's won four CL trophies...
The days when men were men and neither exuberant celebrations nor rolling around, rubbing a fake injury existed. We won the League Cup in Dalglish's second stint (first trophy in 6 years) and got to FA Cup final.Liverpool have always been my team, but only seriously followed them since near the end of the Houllier days.
I can't compare to Shanks or Paisley. I can only really compare him to Rafa or Klopp.
Even comparing to them it's a little early. This is obviously the best start and I think we chose well, but I can't put him above Rafa or Klopp until at least one season is complete.
I can however already say that he is indeed better than Woy and Brodger... Think it's also not too early to say that he's better than Dalglish's last run at the club.
Let's see if Slot can beat that.We won the League Cup in Dalglish's second stint (first trophy in 6 years) and got to FA Cup final.Let's see if Slot can beat that.

my favourite was him sitting in the bedlam of the win in Rome having a cup of tea and pointing out "last time i was here it was in a Sherman"Shankly will always be my number one. Just his charisma alone and then throw in the trophies. Paisley was completely different, which was great, even though he was more successful he's a very close number two on my list.
Out of interest, it's 42 years today since " .. Rush scored one, Rush scored two, Rush scored three and Rush scored four, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah..." (against Everton, 5-0 final result). Paisley was the manager, sitting in the dugout in his mac and cap and not a smile, gesture or reaction to be seen. The days when men were men and neither exuberant celebrations nor rolling around, rubbing a fake injury existed.
What was he doing in an American tank?my favourite was him sitting in the bedlam of the win in Rome having a cup of tea and pointing out "last time i was here it was in a Sherman"![]()
Loving Slotball so far …
We look far better on and off the ball now. Far more structured and more importantly, we are far more solid defensively.
I’ve said multiple times that Ljinders was the one running the tactics over the last 2 years and it showed because we looked so disjointed.
Now imagine how good we will look when we sign players who are suited to Slot
What was he doing in an American tank?
Fair enough, I'm no military expert - but the only versions of his quote I've ever seen mention a "tank", not a particular breed. The vast majority of medium tanks in the British army were shermans.
Matildas and such were light tanks really and not up to the later panzers.
The valentine was a little thing thst was a good proportion of the tanks but again very light
The Churchill was a lumbering heavy 40 tonne tank which wasn't up to a king tiger but was fat enough to meet the standards of it's name.
The sherman was literally great but there was a lot of them and certainly a medium tank with speed and a half decent gun. Totally outclassed by the panther and tigers but they were too few and also too heavy by rights.
probably just assumed tbhFair enough, I'm no military expert - but the only versions of his quote I've ever seen mention a "tank", not a particular breed.
Reasonable, given mito's assertion that there were a lot of Sherman tanks in the British Army (lend-lease, presumably).probably just assumed tbh
