It’s amazing how quickly football supporters come to accept things as the norm. What’s happened this season is sensational, although I know, after the regular disappointments that we’ve had, some find it difficult to believe that this won’t be another.

The cold hard facts are that, tonight we can become the first to reach 30 points and the first to win 10 games. There comes a point when you have to accept that this hasn't just happened by accident, or good fortune, and that there’s no reason why it can’t continue.

We’re learning on the job, coping with setbacks, and have injured or recently acquired players ready to replace any that we lose.

Two of our best forward players for many years, Clarke and Stewart, have gone, but we’re scoring goals, winning games and are top of the league …

… I’ve no idea what tactics we’ll use tonight, but I can’t wait to find out.

Preston are one of those sides I have an irrational dislike for and I don’t know why.

Brad Potts and his stupid hair maybe. I don’t know.

My son is down there tonight, I hope we smash them for him and he has a cracking night, strange team Preston always strong at home but we have enough to take the 3 points, Browne will be wanting to impress on his return and Rigg is back so Jobe shouldnt be too much of a miss but I think his height in both boxes will be missed. Will go for a tight game but 2-1 to the lads with Roberts and Wilson

Not overly confident about tonight but this team has surprised me plenty this season

Be interesting if there's any other changes to the side other than Rigg for Jobe. Ballard will be back on the bench, and with Alese close to a return we have good depth at the back

Hopefully get 3 points and then move on to a tough game on Saturday

I'd take 4 points over these 2 matches

Absolutely mate.

We all appreciate it, but have we really stood back and taken in the magnitude of it?

We are popping records ‘first to do this, that’ or ‘hadn’t happened for 60 years, 80, 100 years’

Best attack in the league, only 3 have conceded less. 7 of 9 conceded came in 3 of 13 games that is a staggering stat.

Youngest team, one of the lowest wage bills, one of the lowest costs to put together, but one of the highest valued in league. What an astonishing achievement by all involved.

From our own side 40k is like a base number at home and ‘whatever you’ll give us’ away, record kit sales. Massive and impactful improvements at the SOL. Commercial deals increased by millions.

This season marks 80% of the ‘5 year plan’, 80-100% is pretty ****ing exciting isn’t it?

Oh, the game…

They a decent side and will come and have a go. I fancy 2-1 the lads.

I am hoping for the lads to cheer me up tonight.

My garden was set on fire last night, I assume a firework landed on my garden furniture and set the water proof cover on fire.

I noticed a orange glow on my wall ad I was sat watching the telly and ran out to it well ablaze. So pissed off today!

How come you’re not confident mate?

I’ve not seen any of them this season but they don’t look to have been doing very well. I know their midweek record is incredible though.
