DIY SOS is great for exercising the waterworks, it's very watchable! I'm not totally convinced that the work they do is all done in the timescale they say, I'm sure a lot of work is done before and after to get it all completed but that's by the by, the beneficiaries are real as are their reactions, and it's great tv!

It certainly puts our moans and gripes into perspective when you see some of the people and families on there and what they have been through.

Not Netflix but relatively easy to find on You Tube and Twitter.
Finally got round to watching 'Silenced', the Tommy Robinson documentary.
Astounding. How the hell can it happen here.
(And a tad ironic watching it just as the reality behind the Southport killer starts coming into the public domain).

Who is now in prison for eighteen months because of that video mentioned above, he's committed contempt of court in it. <applause>

Yet some people who broke a female coppers nose in Manchester airport are still walking around free with no sign they are every going to be arrested.

One of the core points of Robinson's video is the corruption in our criminal justice system...he has a point just like he had a point when he tried to highlight the mass targetted rape of children that politicians and media tryed to cover up and downplay !

They’re out on bail, as they don’t want the court case to happen until after the IOPC investigation has been completed. Had the copper not got carried away and kicked him in the head, it would have been dealt with already.

I would honestly say, put aside what you think of him and just watch the video. I think you will be gobsmacked. Unless you look at stuff like this you have absolutely no idea of what's really going on and can't validly comment.

And people saying "well, he's pleaded guilty to contempt of court, so he did it blah blah". What he's pleaded guilty to is airing the film (and still refusing to take it down), which just happens to be deemed a contempt of court. The msm and authorities continue to mislead. Also charged with one count of failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 - as if he's the terrorist! It's all beyond bonkers.

As for the poor kid Bailey, whose life and his familiy's life has been wrecked just for standing up to what was going on.

Please don't turn this into a political thread to get removed. It's a film / documentary recommendation that I honestly believe everyone should take the time to watch. I'm no weirdo conspiracy theorist or nutter, just a normal bloke.

What he's been found guilty of is continuing to air a film that made libelous allegations against some refugee, in the full knowledge that the claims being made were totally untrue. He's a absolute arsehole and no 'normal bloke' should be peddling his inaccurate racist tripe.

The series

'From' is absolutely worth watching

Mystery show like lost
Capitvating

I've not seen it. Which bit was libelous?

Apparently Hitler loved dogs and was also a keen vegetarian who was very concerned about animal welfare

Just give him another listen he might change your mind, that’s all I’m saying….

A video of a Syrian refugee kid being attacked in his school playground in Huddersfield went viral and Tommy Cockwomble claimed it was because he'd viscously attacked young English girls at his school. He'd never attacked anyone and took Cockwomble to court for libel and won. Cockwomble was given a court order preventing him from ever repeating those libelous claims, but he did, repeatedly, and now he's in prison for doing so.

He said he had attacked young English girls with a sticky substance? You can get into trouble for attacking young girls with certain of those substances.<laugh>

That's just part of it.
Have you actually watched the documentary? How do you explain interview after interview, document after document that exposed not just what the lad was like but the whole cover up? Head teacher, other teachers, ancillary staff, others all liars are they? NDAs fictional? Video evidence of the law firm, serving papers, etc etc all hoax? Ok, right. I won't keep going as I don't want this to go down a path and for me to get a ban etc, all I say is people should actually watch it then make up their own mind. You honestly can't believe what you are being fed (as we've just seen).

I suspect OLM, like myself, hasn’t watched it.

No intention of watching it, but whether anyone does isn’t relevant really
He was found guilty by a court of libel, was told what to do so he wouldn’t be guilty of it again for the same thing, and told he would be imprisoned if he did do it again.
He did
He was charged
He asked for his supporters to send him money for legal fees to defend his name.
They did to the tune of £87k
He immediately plead guilty so spent very little, if any, money on legal fees.
He was imprisoned

Whether the court was right in the first place is for him to have challenged at the time, or since.
He either chose not to or was unsuccessful.

So, like me, you don’t know the full story.

A judge watched it for us, so we didn't have to bother.

In his judgment, Justice Nicklin was unequivocal, stating, “The Defendant took on the burden of proving his allegations to be true. He has failed. In reality, and for the reasons I have explained, his evidence fell woefully short.”

Yes, judges are never wrong and never have an agenda.
