True but I still think what lambo said is right. Tan was the level headed one that realed acun in. However it is possible the slow transfer window and not signing a decent striker could be Tans fault and that what acun is unhappy about
Having listened to the podcast, I found that a very odd thing for Baz to say. Odd? Or maybe telling is the better word? How can it be that the loss of a VC / Director doesn't affect much? If he was being really effective in his role, it maybe wouldn't affect day to day operations in the very short term but would surely leave a great big gaping hole and big shoes to be filled. Maybe reading too much into it. TWT.
Sounds like a load of made up baseless ****e to me. With Acun's position and profile in Turkey rumours will always abound to generate clicks over there
Really? Our commercial operation is crap and that’s his responsibility. He has no experience on the football side of operations either. It would be a disaster.
Is it really a disaster? The club are averaging over 20,000 fans a game, which isn't bad considering our home record over the last 18 months, someone is behind that and pitching the pricing at the right level. We also have some decent sponors deals. If Acun wants someone to run the club in his absense then those doing it at the moment are not doing a bad job, unless something is happening behind the scenes that we know nothing about? As for the football side, I think Acun has enough nodding heads working in that department and recruiting another scout wouldn't be that hard, getting someone he trusts to run the club is another matter altogether.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone have a bad word to say about Joe Clutterbrook before. Even in the Allam days, everyone who dealt with him seemed to think highly of him.
There's an incredible amount of this sort of noise from Turkey surrounding Acun. Much of it is probably jealousy and/or tribalistic dislike from Galatasaray fans, but I think it'd be naive to shut it out entirely.
Pfttt, Time Magazine Man of the Year 1938, Adolf Hitler, 1939, Stalin, balanced I suppose. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
The crowds are good because the prices are low, that was an Acun call. The sponsorship deals are good because they’re Acun’s mates. Most of this same commercial team were driving in the club into the ground under the Allam’s! I mean they just made a shirt everyone loved and then completely messed up the launch. Disaster is harsh, but I certainly wouldn’t be promoting any of them to run the club, bring someone in that has experience and has done it before.
