Phil Smith made a good point on their pod - bringing Leadbitter back was a good move in isolation but he wasn't what we needed in midfield at the time when we already had Cattermole and Power.
Henderson would add something to our midfield that we don't currently have - there are doubts about Samed given his inability to get fit. Would Henderson offer than anchor role that would allow us to rotate Rigg, Jobe, Browne and Neil? Would those younger lads learn something from Henderson on and off the pitch?

For me, it's not something I want to see happen, primarily for the way he leapt at taking the Saudi money, but I'd support the move if it did come off.

It's a good point you make,but wasn't Browne brought in for that role and I'm not sure that dismissing Samed is the right thing to do. It's a long season and we may well need him before the turn of the year,although,we haven't seen him....or Aleksic yet....for that matter.:emoticon-0102-bigsm
The problem with JH is the deal. He's 34 and whilst I accept he will bring something to the dressing room and the training ground in terms of experience,I really don't see a fit with our strategy. The only way it would make sense to me is if he came on a short term contract,not intending to play a lot of games,with a coaching role after,with the specific intention of him helping us get over the line for promotion this season. However,I'm not convinced we need him.

This. I'm not particularly fussed about him coming back and would probably prefer not. But if he did I would back him and the club 100% on it, and enjoy seeing him play again.

I'd imagine that will be a call made later in the season. His injury, whist never made public was apparently "as bad as it gets" and for a lad who's had 3 major injuries at 23 then it makes sense to see how/if he recovers from this one. I wouldn't be against a 1 year extension to see how he goes, given than it's unlikely he'll play much this season.

Just to be clear....I think a fully fit Huggins is our best option at right back. He's a really good player,and I suspect our reluctance to fill that position so far may be in hope he can come back fit and ready to go.The lad has suffered from one after another terrible injury......I would love to see him come back into our first team and do the business. Having said that,Trai Hume has been outstanding for us,I always feel confident when I see him on the team sheet.

I get why folk think Huggins is our best RB, the only thing for me is it's such a small sample size of games. No doubt he is talented and gives us a different dimension to Hume does

I think we need to be signing fullbacks this January, even players for the future as I think RB in particular is a weak position for us in terms of the future

Bainbridge n Lightfoot are 2 exciting LB prospects - so I'm more comfortable with our LB situation that RB

A RB I like is a lad called IIay Feingold, just broken into the Israel national team. Similar to Hume but slightly quicker, so think he would fit into our team nicely

Is this lad still playing in Israel mate,or has he moved to Europe?

Are we not looking to Jenson Jones for rb? He seems to be doing really well at u21 level - albeit he’s often played out of position. Lavery’s another one.
