A smokescreen i say-Oh JL said we needed a upgrade and he employs a rookie with no championship experience. Cheap option once again.
I think you will find if you bother to go back and look they were mentioned, especially they, management, were not happy because he had stopped / unable to be going? to Failand to oversee training ? or assist due to his injury. Certainly in his interviews with media NP was getting rather blunt with lack of progress in answering whether he was getting a new contract. there wasnt one on the table when he left!
DONT THINK HE SAID AN UPGRADE! maybe a different approach.... and we do not know if LM is cheaper or the same or more expensive than NP Style of play is different no time to investigate the 2 3-0 losses but will do later tonight maybe!
Indeed there wasn’t but he left before his contract ended, and it was never mentioned as the reason for him leaving, to suggest that was the reason he left early is conjecture
Norwich manager, not managed in this country. A years experience in Scandinavian football. Never played professionally. Replaces a man with 12 years experience and got a club promoted. Bet they are not bothered with their rookie with less experience.
It’s always a gamble - and everyone has a ‘first time’ - but only when someone takes a chance on him.
Neither will we be if LM is successful, but equally if he isn’t then he has to go. Let’s hope he turns it around.
Got lucky i would say-How can Bristol City go from a proven PREM-CHAMPIONSHIP manager in Nige in the circumstances did a excellent job for us. Then go and appoint a rookie in Liam Manning with no Championship experience and limited league one experience. We all wanted it to work out but sadly it clearly ain't -I'm amazed they have not acted in this window-simply we are up the creek without the paddles in these next ten games.
he was paid up till end of contract and .................. He wasnt going to be offered, another couldnt fulfil his brief like being at training sessions ? he spent something like 3 month's in recuperation! The club wasnt happy with attitude!
bit like other cases a team doing well needed a change or makes a change young inexperienced takes over with most things in place .......secret is will it last!
I doubt anyone has .. it was a culmination from Q's and A's from VARIOUS media events comments made by board members "not good enough to sit in office instead of leading the coaching at Failand etc etc ............. spend a n hour or 2 going back over the period instead of relying on what you may have missed! I am far to busy and its water under the bridge ...he's gone whether sacked / mutual/ left/ caused himself to be terminated ....take your pick .........
Can't say to much but according to a individual in high place i know very well at the HPC -He said Nige was always at training. The issue was NP and JL not agreeing.
That would make sense, I’ve not in any way itk but NP doesn’t suffer fools gladly. The comment that sticks in my mind was when NP criticised how the club was run previously. I don’t remember the exact circumstances but remember it didn’t go down well with JL
well one must the Q ... if this "high official" said he was always at training then why was one of the reasons given that he [NP] stated he wasnt .. due to his back ailment!?
The truth is none of us know for sure, and yet you keep saying things as if they are fact. Obviously there were times he wasn’t able to be there, operations, doctors/surgeons appointments etc, that’s the same for all of us. That’s not a reason to get rid of someone, even a manager of a football club.
